The Inner Crazy of Mr Speesh

I've finally decided to make the switch to an electronic DJ, as of August 1st. I made the stark realization that I'm far too much of a lazy-ass for the laborious act of physically writing them down. I'm wayyy too inconsistent. As I type about 12 or so times faster than I write, it seems like the obvious choice to try this system out.

I currently have had a fair amount of lucid dreams, but they generally happen so sporadically in time that I've not learned much from them. Only in the last two or three have I really remembered to stabilize and get some decent length out of them. In order to really progress I think its high time I set up some goals to gain a better control over the dream world:

      Lucid: Nope
      Dream Aids: None
      Vividness: Not very

      Dreamsign
      Lucidity

Another fragment unfortunately, but I'll take whatever I can get. I was driving up Main Street in my car at night, when all of a sudden after making a wrong turn it was daylight and I was in a completely exotic area. It almost looked like a walking tour of the jungle or something.

After reaching the top a bunch of extended family members I haven't seen in a while were there waiting for me. We started chatting about something but I can't remember what exactly, the memory fades after that.

It seems that in addition to seeing people I don't see very often in dreams, there are some contextual dreamsigns as well. The first highlight in this dream has to do with sudden and drastic changes in setting. This happens to me fairly often, I'll be in one setting and suddenly after one minor action will find myself in a completely different one. The other one I can think of right now is minor changes in a familiar setting. Last time I became lucid it was because I was in my own apartment, but all of the furniture was mixed up and put together differently. When something gets created from my memory it seems to come out very inverted.

    2. Lucid in NYC

      Lucid: Hell yeah!
      Dream Aids: None
Vividness: Above average, but could be better

      Dreamsign
      Lucidity

I was in a huge city that I now believe to be a representation of New York, and something about the context rang funny to me. I did a reality check and quickly became lucid. I wish I could remember more about what exactly made me lucid. I think it occurred after a WBTB so its very possible I was just far more aware than usual.

Upon discovering my lucidity I began to ground myself in the dream by taking in my surroundings and feeling whatever I could. I seem to have gotten the hang of calming down and remembering to stabilize in a lucid dream, though my stabilization technique still probably needs some work. I should try the shouting CLARITY trick sometime soon, as this one wasn't incredibly vivid.

There was unfortunately no time for any of that though, as all I was able to do in this lucid was walk down the street a bit stabilizing before a call on my cell phone woke me up. Unfortunate, but I'm still ecstatic at the fact I've had two lucid dreams in a week now. That's not happened to me before.

    3. Strange Ocean Weather

      Lucid: No
      Dream Aids: Not a one
      Vividness: Not great

      Dreamsign
      Lucidity

This was a short fragment. It was an overcast day, but not too inclement. Nevertheless, by a rock face we were seeing little white tornadoes break out every so often. Not dangerous or anything, they'd just move around a bit before dissipating.

The waves were also very strange. Despite the distinct lack of wind there would be huge waves. But not exclusively. The waves were completely random. Huge ones would be followed by tiny ones, or anything in between. It made for very difficult swimming.
