Date: December 27 ||| Time Block: 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM ||| Length: 3 minutes. ||| Lucidity: level 2. ||| Entry Type: DILD ||| Major Methods: WBTB, MILD
Methods: woke up by alarm at 8, fell back asleep till I woke up automatically at 9, went to the bathroom and got a drink of water, got back in bed, rested on my back for about an hour repeating the "and now and then" phrase, gave up on that and rested on my stomach, not using any methods except keeping in mind to, when in a lucid, "think, feel, hear, see", to stabilize my dream from the start.
Summary: was in a regular dream, but then looked to the right at a fence with vines on it; was wanting very intently for a ladybug to appear where I was staring (I was testing something); it didn't, so I let my gaze just wander, but froze when I saw a ladybug a few feet away on a flower. Knowing intuitively that it was my thought that caused it to come, I was thinking of other things to will into existence, and the thought of bees passed my mind; I figured that might get dangerous, though, so I decided not to, but just then a lone bee flew past me; excited, I did the same thing with an apple on a tree nearby; and, suddenly, I realized that I must be dreaming, and became lucid; quickly trying to remember by catch phrase, I fumbled for a second or two, and then started with step 1, which was the "think" part; this meant to repeat the "and now and then" phrase to increase my lucidity, and when I did so, I remember the scene becoming much clearer, and the dream stabilizing; I then saw a wild boar a few feet in front of me, and hurriedly jumped into the air and began to fly in an attempt to escape it; I had a few more seconds of dreaming, before I woke up, being chased by it even in the air; I woke up, did a quick reality check just to make sure I was awake, and then went downstairs rather quickly; but on reaching the bottom floor, I realized that I'd just zipped down the stairs in less than a second, and it struck me that I must still be dreaming; I became lucid for about 1 second, before waking up yet again; this time, knowing that my test just a half minute earlier had failed, I twisted my pointer finger over my middle finger on *both* of my hands, forcefully, and to my further surprise, I discovered I was yet again still in a dream; to my disappointment, I woke up a few seconds later, and this time finally genuinely.
