    1. 2017-01-17 11:52 -- Bomb-shelter, rail trip to coast city, restaurant and mall

      by , 01-17-2017 at 09:46 PM
      =in bunker
      =look for exit down hallway
=find exits, but all have people with guns and such
=go back and wait in room
      =lose second gun
      =retrieve it finally from room
=decide to go down halls again
      =see people running back
=run back too, and guy comes in with huge gun
=some people take shots at him, but he warns
=he prepares to shoot at our far side
=i run past and into side room, of school/hospital, someone coming with
=i duck into closet room, other person falls at door
=someone comes and takes fallen lady away

=i stay hidden, now definitely knowing it's a dream
=i wait, half-expecting them to find me, but nothing happens
=imagination turns situation into of it now being part of train
=i wait a bit more, then open up door, and fly out
=at some point, turns into me using a hang-glider
=fly a long way, following rail track
=come to where i see the coast, but turn to the side as looks restricted area
=head for city to the right
=hang glider falters, and i fall to ground

=i look for way to cross river
=i see bridge, and try to go, but they say for upper class
=i keep goingto the right, and they're for progressively lower classes
=finally get to place they let me
i can either go in narrow section next to one-step-up class' half-foot bridge, or go to line just next to it on the very edge in the water
i look down lowest path, and there are many poor people on it, and to their right is a wall of machines (I think to process the water, or the equivalent of a dam)
i watch as a boy gets sucked underwater and into it!
i start going across anyway on second-from-right path, as I know I'm dreaming and it's not that serious, but a few steps down in line, i realize i'm still too nervous and want to turn back
i turn around, and try going back, but the others are in the way and make it hard; try again, and finally make my way through, to negative comments
as i make it out, someone in line says "You're not supposed to get to turn back...". Anyway, I leave the area and decide to just do something where I am.

I look around, and walk toward a large building that appears to be a mall of some sort. Seeing the commercial district as more likely to be safe and civil, I head toward it.
I step into a long restaurant looking back at the railway area. I continue forward and into the center of the mall.
I look around a fair deal, but most of the other shops are actually less promising, as they're for briefer purposes--like one which was a carnival-like game of horshoes or the like, a public restroom, etc.
I head back into the restaurant, and take a close look at the dream characters. My memory's faded somewhat at this point (it takes time typing this out), but I know I saw several people of significance--i.e. people from real life or past dreams.
At some point, I either find or see enter my older sister and her husband!
Now this is nice, I thought, as she's an inhabitant apparently of the city, and can get around.

We talk for a while relaxedly, and eat various foods, including slices of red cake.
At some point, a waiter comes up and asks if we want to enter into a lottery/random-drawing they're having. At first I hesitate, as earlier, in other places of the mall, people were deceptively charging prices for things without a clear sign signifying its price; but my sister and husband assure me it's fine, as a free drawing.
I select one of four pieces, and in 20 seconds or so, they announce the winner to be me! I find this odd, but then am told that my sister's husband is the owner of the shop, and did it as a welcome surprise.

A couple minutes later, we get up to head out, to go to their home.
We cross a different bridge, onto the section of the city.
Her husband leads us to a large outdoor construction yard; apparently he's stopping just a minute for work-related purposes. I wait with my sister.
However, all is not well, as we hear a large boom/crack from deeper in the yard. This makes us nervous.
A few seconds later, we see and hear a large shape moving up from the ground and turn in our direction.
We start rhnning, but my sister trips and gets injured. I start carrying her, but she's actually heavy in this dream! (which I mark as unusual since it's a dream)

Anyway, we struggle forward, but eventually the dream fades.
Now if I remember correctly, the dream was in a hazy/faded state here, but I could still sense myself as being in the dream scene. While trying to get back in, with now increased lucidity, I realize I should make sure to get some actual dream goals done before the dream ends. So I think back, and remember the goal of finding the cause of a component in (one of) my sisters' book world. (which is a real dream goal, although I haven't listed it for this competition)

I managed to get back in, and start seeing a video communication my brother-in-law was having with this large droid/robot. Apparently, he'll pay him or something to protect the people in the restaurant until we get there (as we had seen my sister there earlier). He tries to do so, by like launching objects at potential threats, but fails hilariously--his shots go all over the place, and he stops, with a funny expression.

The dream fades again, so I focus on visualization, and with effort, recreate a scene of us making it back to the restaurant.
I then look for my younger sister and her friend, and find them, but the dream fades again and I lose the situation! (I should really have done the goals earlier on, but my lucidity was low, and my concerns were very dream-influenced at that point)

I then have a false-awakening, which I suspect as such but let pass, as I'm focusing on remembering my dream.
I wake up for real a minute or so later, and continue recollecting the events.

    2. 2017-01-17 6:40 -- Fighting hooded enemy

      by , 01-17-2017 at 05:47 PM
I'm in a group with 3 or 4 others, mostly from my family. We're on some journey, I think retreating from a place of higher danger.

There's a building up ahead, and I briefly enter it and look around to see if it's safe. It's not! I look around a corner and see an anime-style necromancer or the like (not sure the correct term). This increases my lucidity, and I exit the building planning an exit route (I'm not yet good enough at dream control to just make negative entities disappear or the like).

We rush off into the streets, and as expected, hear noises behind us of pursuit. We begin doing our best to form a counterattack, however since I'm not well practiced here, when trying to use my hands to build up power, it was represented by a weak, translucent orb between us, which grew with time but looked fragile. As anticipated, it actually broke from its fragility a few seconds in, and so by the time the enemy was upon us, we only had it slightly powered up.

We tried to use it to teleport us away, but it failed. (it did make a sound, though)

The enemy now holding our attention, we didn't have time, so I focused my thought inward and used a jolt of attention shifting to try to trigger a time freeze (to have the dream then fade to somewhere else). It... sort of worked. It successfully froze time, but only for the other members of my group (they were frozen a couple feet in front/to the side of me). Me and the enemy were still moving.

Seeing that it didn't help, I focused inward again, and did another attention jolt, this time with intent to just wake up completely. In a couple seconds it worked, and I then lay in bed recollecting the events. Unfortunately, I also fell asleep again... (as represented by the sleep period from 6:40-7:40 on the sleep graph)

    3. 2017-01-15 13:15 -- Very short lucid at dock with kid

      by , 01-16-2017 at 10:26 PM
I was floating above a scene of a dock, with a lake ahead, and a small boat to the forward-left. From the back-left, on a wooden walkway, enter 3 people: a young child (~6), a ~18y male, and a ~23y female. They appeared to be the kid's caretaker. I realized I was dreaming.

The kid ran over to the edge excited, and started trying to get down or grab something from over the edge of the dock. The male caretaker grabbed onto the child to keep him from falling into the boat/water, however he was struggling to keep a balance, and called for help. The woman started walking over, but was doing so very non-chalantly, so I flew down and helped hold him on the dock. After a few seconds of sustaining this, the dream faded to a non-lucid dream where I started retracing my memories. After a minute or so there (in our downstairs), I woke up for real.

    4. 2017-01-15 16:04 -- Float-flied downstairs after party, squeezed the brain

      by , 01-16-2017 at 01:39 AM
Am in lucid dream (from an earlier segment, so only remember a fragment). Am in a room of a friend/relative's house with lots of other people. I think I also used some new ability, though don't remember what. (which makes it sad to have forgotten : ( )

Had false awakening. Started writing down my lucid dream that just ended. Get most of it down, when a young woman comes into my room, saying I should knew her from forums online. She said she liked what I'd written so far of my book. I think back in memory, remember someone named "Ally0387439" (or some-such numbers), and mention so (not sure if real memory from earlier in dream, or false). She's happy, then goes out my room downstairs. I follow, and hear noise downstairs as I approach the stairs. Just as I'm looking downstairs at what sounds like a party, it fades and I snap back jnto bed.

I know I'm still dreaming now, and try to get out of bed. Gently turning onto my side, and standing up, I succeed, and keep myself calm. I decide to go downstairs to see what happened of the party earlier. Walk to the stairway, and look down to see it quieted down, but my dad and brother near the tv. I jump over the railing, grab onto the bottom edge, and swing my way around the corner, float-flying to the family room at the back of the house (this was mostly just for fun because I've done it before and it feels great). Do another floating turn there, and my dad asks me to come back and help with something. I start saying, "Okay, be there in a minute" (I wanted to finish my flying route), but as I respond my dream fades.

Have another false awakening, but this time I know I'm still in-dream (or close to edge, anyway). Try to do phantom rocking and wiggling, but those don't work. Try "squeezing the brain", and despite not knowing exactly what it means (it's mentioned in Raduga's book), it starts working! (I remember the sensation as feeling like your brain is compressing and being pulled slightly inward toward your chest--there were inward/downward sensations in the rest of the body as well) However, I get anxious for a moment from not having done this form of entry before, so hesitate--and in doing so give up the moments still possible to return (I tried it again but I could feel then that it was too late).

    5. 2017-01-15 11:33 -- Read a scroll, unwrapped an unopened Christmas present

      by , 01-15-2017 at 08:53 PM
Friends were skateboarding around fence area. I decided to go to a quieter area, and rested there with eyes closed.

Wandering the halls of the large house, I realized I was dreaming.
Kept looking around, but now had higher attention to interesting dream features.
Found a small scroll, and found a really long text on jt describing a story land and its history. I read quite a bit (and understood it), and tried to store it in memory, but apparently failed--other than general knowledge like it had dates, the names of royalty, generals, battles, and a medeival setting.

Had false-awakening, but rc said still a dream, tried to get out using imagined rocking left and right, then stood up and starting yelling/loudly-saying something, but as I was speaking, I sounded distant--and as I listened more, it faded into the voice of my number prompt app! (which is interesting, as if it was a real number prompt, brings into question my free-will agency at that moment, i.e. the real audio just made me think I was deciding to speak; however it could have also been the other way around, if false audio, or even if real but coincidental)
Anyway, hearing the seemingly-real number prompt popped me back into bed, but I did an rc and I was still in-dream!
Tried to get out with rocking again, this time falling onto knees onto the floor, and it worked, but without vision.
Ran out of my room, and thumped my way down the stairs to ground myself.
Downstairs, I decided I needed my vision, so called up the stairs for someone, so I could grab onto them and focus on their visualization. I heard someone come down, and my vision materialized on my sister C.
Now with my vision, tried to remember dream goals.
I asked her what some of my dream goals were, but she stuttered saying "Well, there was a river, and...", then stopping and acting flustered.
I then remembered one of the dream goals: finding unopened present under a Christmas tree and opening it.
Looked around and saw a tiny Christmas tree on a table. Ran over and started unwrapping. Got impatient and ripped right through the middle, revealing... kleenex tissues. Yep, someone got tissue for their birthday. (perhaps why it was left unopened)
      Dream faded shortly after.

    6. 2017-01-14 10:12 -- Visited book world, found possible dgs (bruce, peter, jj), "recorded" song

      by , 01-14-2017 at 07:47 PM
2 deilds, where I just stayed motionless in bed and let the dreams suck me back in (one automatically, the other with some visualization)
Don't remember exactly where these happened, so just putting it up here.

Did diving down through ground, into basic 3d scenes

      Dove again, visited book world
Saw and talked a bit to main character, at his home
Same with second character, except seemingly when younger, at school-like place
Was really cool! They didn't really do much, but they matched more or less with how I viewed their overall appearance

Made it to nice hotel-like, place where I find characters that acted like dream guides
Came to know them over a few minutes, though memory is weak here
I know one section was or finding the forgotten-name one entering my hotel room
Another was when bruce was checking his email, I believe, on the hotel computer, and the rest of us snuck over to watch
List: Bruce (friendly, dark haired), peter (fat, dark haired), jj (shorter, blonde), ?? (other one), possible one other

Forget how, but came to area with dock, with many people in the water; some were not, and they were trying to push the others in
A girl managed to push peter in, so i did likewise and pushed her in, then went and helped peter out.
Then I flew up above the dock, and setted on the solid ground
She was mad, and started coming after me
She and some others actually picked me up, and were bringing me further inland to some place
I was not firmly grounded at this point, so was kind of just floating along
Called out for my dg friends to help, and they had followed, but didn't actually help for some reason
I just forced my way back to them, and then stayed there as she threatened me and such; I responded like i would to the behavior irl (questioning it, mentioning its childishness, etc.)

      =Did adventures in game-like world
Saw trail of gold coins on road; started collecting them, then realized it was pointless since in-dream
Shifted my focus ahead, and saw a young woman collecting the coins, though she soon left
Further ahead, saw gold robot guy as the one placing down the gole coins
Talk to him; he seems reasonable at first, but then walks behind my back telling me not to move; I get suspicious, Turn around, and duck when I see him swinging his golden arm

Came out of scene, to family in living room; knew i was still dreaming, but played along
Noticed my dad playing a different game with my younger brother
Started trying a different, less immersive game
It faded at some point, i think while playing the simpler game

Thought i woke, and walked around kitchen; M and one of her friends were there
Got out my tablet, and played a song recording; I then said "Wait, that means you're in the dream too!" (yay for critical thinking!)
      Did rc, and confirmed
Asked "You knew then, didn't you!", and they said they weren't sure, after all they're just dcs (also saw writing appear on fridge surface saying as much) "Did we know? Unsure. ..."
Tried to wake for real, and succeeded (bad habit, from other times where it freaked me out that I hadn't woken for real after discomforting lucids)

    7. 2016-06-19_11-53

      by , 06-19-2016 at 08:56 PM
      [woke: on front]

Am in back yard. I have fun suspending myself in the air, as others watch confused (though not alarmed).

Go back in house. Some sort of discussion is happening. I suspend myself more, while talking. Monz and others make plans to go outside. I decide to too.

I go outside, and mention I'll be going on my own. Am flying around above our house/neighborhood outside.

While flying, I see a car drive in with some people I know. (I think Nathan, Kevin Shram van Haupt, and ~2 others) I decide to drop in with them. They of course welcome it, so I settle in. They start driving, and we soon make it to a parking lot for a large mall.

We're looking for place to park. We notice a police car with blinking lights in road, apparently just watching for law-breakers. For some reason (possibly just fun), kevin (the driver) decides to pull out and leave very quickly. They drop me off at mall, then go to corner with police. Then they floor it, and their car makes skid noises and shoots away. The police car follows in pursuit, and I walk around trying to look non-chalant as about 10 other police and fire-department vehicles appear from the mass of cars and also begin their pursuit (or try anyway--the ones that saw where they went).

I decide to continue on into mall. I see hundreds of people inside (it's quite packed), and I have fun just walking around. I see a number of stores, including restaurants, coffee places, a movie theatre, and storage/industrial type places. While walking, a message is announced on the loudspeakers about a car having just driven away from law enforcement. I get self-conscious, from their possibly having had cameras that saw me associated with them, and to save myself the in-dream drama, decide to leave and just explore more outside.

I fly around the city, and see lots of cool places, including a heavily urban area with large towers and crowded streets. While flying around a large, many-storied apartment/hotel, I decide to rest on the roof of a midpoint of it. I look out for a while. Then notice someone down in a lower section moving around. I watch him, and notice he seems to be approaching me. For cautions sake, I fly up above the tower, then over to its side to leave. He yells out and says "wait!". I pause and go back a bit, but still keep my distance, and ask "what?". As I suspected, he wasn't to be trusted as he got out a rifle, and began aiming at me. I mentally shrug my shoulders, and propel myself swiftly into the open air.

Now going toward the more urban area, I fly over lots of crowded downtown-type roads. While doing so, I remember my dream goals... 'Oh yes, one of them is to find an exotic plant or animal and ask the inhabitants for its name and origin'. I let myself drop down onto an old parking lot area, and scan for interesting plants. I end up choosing a thick green plant with a single large, splayed-out white flower. I pluck it up, and look to ask the passers-by about it.

I speak out loudly, "What is this plant called?" A few people answer, some more confidently than others. The two I remember were "Zamboo Bush" and "Wiki Plant".

I ask "What is its origin?". They pause for a bit, till one older lady responds, "I don't know". A young girl responds a few seconds later, "How are, your views?", which was laughably funny/ridiculous.

Anyway, I'm pleased with myself at this point for completing my first Dreamviews task-of-the-month, and shift my attention back to the dream-world at large.

I decide to inspect the sky. I look up, and notice that the sky is not open/natural--it's just a surface painted blue with clouds and such. I'm a bit displeased with this. In addition, I notice that the towers in the downtown area go right up next to the surface. I ask the passers-by if the sky is artificial, and add that it's different where I am. At this the young girl from earlier asks where i'm from, and I say "Way, way far away. Would take days... No, thousands of days to get here.", but then, realizing I myself am here, add, "It was faster for me because of our advanced tech." (laughing to myself that I feel the need to lie to a dream-character just to avoid uninteresting-at-the-moment discussions)

view fades, then reforms in a bit in the tower we were looking at. Am with a younger boy, who appears to be someone i'm acquainted with. He shows me forward in the hall, and into a large conference room like area. We go in, and there are ~15 men in business suits. They seem to be talking about their work that dad. I look around more and see dad, who starts talking with head guy/boss. After a while, boss points over at two pairs of glasses near computer and asks if one's missing. (apparently when flying near towers earlier I had 'lost/broken' one) dad says no, he's always used just those two remaining ones (and I wonder if he's trying to cover for me).

Boss guy goes over by himself some. I follow him and say i'd be willing to talk more about myself, since he seems to know i'm from another world (he made comments of the sort while talking with dad). He gives an "I know all about you" sort of smile. When I say I'd trust him with the knowledge, he smiles more, and starts making jerking movements with his arms/upper-body. I add mentally "Well, enough to talk about it", as I realize he might not be fully trustworthy. Which was true, cuz from his movements he begins attacking me with some weapon/monster thing that's coming out from near his arms (it seemed more as an overlay/other-layer than actually coming out of body, though, and nkt terribly threatening).

I do not feel like being attacked though, so I jostle myself mentally and wake up a couple seconds later. I then started writing main points of dream. Didn't last long though, as I woke up for real ~20 seconds later. I mull over the main events to keep them in memory, do an rc for awakeness confirmation, then begin writing down the events for real on my tablet.

    8. Lucid Dream 55

Date: April 11, 2013 ||| Length: 15 minutes. ||| Lucidity: level 3. ||| Entry Type: DILD ||| Major Methods: BAT

Methods: thought of the fact that I had a pretty good chance of having a lucid dream, while falling asleep for a nap; used both a-b-r (alphabet repeating) and v-e (vision examining) mildly.

Summary: I pause for a moment and realize that I might be dreaming. I look around. Everything is so amazingly sharp. I realize that that doesn't prove anything. I know from past experience that at the moment of dream confirmation, my dream tends to fade out. So instead, I decided this time to just wait. Just looking around, as if I were in a dream, but not yet confirming it. It worked! And yet I knew anyway I was probably dreaming. So I calmed myself down, and told myself not to get excited at the confirmation. I stood in front of the mirror, plugged my nose, and calmly confirmed it. I could breath with both my mouth and nose completely closed. And this time it didn't wake me up.

      Account:
I plug my nose. "I can still breath through it. Oh man, my reality check failed—cause I'm still dreaming." A look back in front of me and the person is smiling, almost laughing at me, about something.

I wake up later and realize I had totally, completely been tricked.

(it was accidental lucidity, since I haven't been focusing on lucid dreaming for a while now) Well, I'll just quickly mention that one part was my waking up, walking into my parents' room, suspecting I was dreaming, knowing this once I saw the rooms were off, and then supposedly 'waking up' after fall-jumping onto their bed, although I think I actually woke up into a non-lucid dream.

Summary: found myself in bed at some point; had the suspicion I was dreaming, so tried plugging my nose; had strange effects on my stomach area, but not regular effects; it was inconclusive, but I was leaning towards it meaning I was dreaming; I tried another reality check and confirmed I was dreaming; woke up soon after; went downstairs, and was doing stuff, then realized I hadn't done a reality check; thought I was probably still dreaming, and then snap, this was confirmed when I found myself back in bed; I immediately a reality check, of plugging my nose; the same inconclusive results as of earlier, so I tried the other one; knowing I was dreaming, I rolled off the bed; I remembered I wanted to try playing piano, so I tried playing them mentally; it kind of worked, but not very well; I decided to just go over and use my piano; problem's that I could barely see, and barely move, so I got stuck up against the piano; decided I would give up on that, and just stare at the blue reflection thing, that looked like the sky; I did, then my whole field of view transformed into what looked like the inside of a crystal ball surrounded by sky; tried thinking about particular things to see if it would change what I was seeing; thought of 'B', and saw it form out of the cloud particles, between the crystal edge artifact things; tried 'A, B, C', and saw 'A, C, B, 3' form out from the cloud particles; heard the ding of the doorbell; saw the 'B' fade, but in its place be an exact match up of blanket threads; then saw my post from Facebook, the very bottom of it; yet, for some reason looking back I can't place exactly when this occurred, because I also remember immediately getting up after hearing the doorbell, to go downstairs; very strange, I still don't know exactly what happened.

Methods: went to bed for the night, while using some experimental methods.

      Account:
I was lying in bed, and I somehow knew I was dreaming. I got out of bed, and amazed, went out into the upstairs hallway. I started walking downstairs, to try to get outside, but then I remembered that I had wanted to try doing something that I could practice wherever I happened to be. (I had decided on this earlier to prevent all the fading dreams and false awakenings) I couldn't really think of anything, though, so I ended up basically wasting my time trying to think of one until my dream started fading. (although I do remember one of my siblings ending up being next to me lying down on a couch) I knew from past experience that I would probably wake back into my dream bed, so I reminded myself to do a reality check.

Now back in bed, I did a reality check, and hurrah, I was still dreaming! I got out of bed, and started going downstairs, having given up for the moment on my dream goal. When I started walking towards the patio door, which is my preferred way to get out now since I get to see and plan where I'm going as I go to open the door, I saw that it was late morning outside. The grass was very green, and the plants in our yard were too. Anyway, I took out the wooden block that keeps the door closed, unlocked the latch, and opened it up. Now outside, my vision changed a bit so that I was seeing stuff I shouldn't have been able to see realistically. I was seeing a helicopter view of our backyard, and from this view I saw that there was an another section of fenced off area, extending from the edge of ours back into the grass of a non-real open area. I 'asked' what it was, and I heard Mom say that Dad had been working for quite some time on fencing in that area for us, as part of the extra land he just bought from our neighbors. I thought it was cool, but I needed a way to get into it. (my vision had returned to normal by now) Anyway, Davey was in the yard near the house, and he asked me if I could take him with me. I said sure, and picked him up, and started looking for a way to get over the fence. I thought of a latch-on ladder thing that I had seen earlier, (don't ask me why that was in there), but it was already back a ways in the house and I wanted to just get over. I knew I could just fly, but that would raise the risks of waking up. Looking around some more, I noticed a mini ladder built into our fence on the inside, kind of like the style used on swimming pools. I thought that would work pretty well, so I headed over towards it with Davey.

Climbing over, I now saw the details of the fenced out area. It was about 10% the size of our existing yard, and it extended our space quite nicely. I remember thinking that one thing cool is that it gave us a convenient viewing advantage, from which we could see behind the neighbors far walls, into the other areas. One odd thing I saw was that there was also an angled piece which started at a foot wide, narrowing in slowly to a point, like a wedge, that 'wedged' out obstructively into the open yard of our neighbor, blocking him somewhat from the open grass area. Behind this, also, were a number of very small oak trees, some of which we touching up against the new fence of ours. Looking around for a place I wanted to go, I saw a relaxing area to the right with trees and many green plants. I decided just to fly myself over the small extension fence. Landing on the grass of the other side, I used some mental focusing techniques to ensure that my dream was stabilized enough. I then started walking around, amazed and examining all the different plants and objects. At the time, the land seemed more or less like what it is in real life, so I decided what I would do is look for unique objects in one of our neighbors yards that I had never seen before, at least in detail, and 'see' if it compared in real life. (I've heard other people's stories of, for instance, lucid dreaming about a birthmark on the back of a friend that turned out to be real, and I was checking if maybe stuff like that was in my memory somewhere)

I came across an area which felt very much to be some place in real life. It was a quiet area behind a small yellow house, with a few regular bushes and one of those oak-like mini tree things that you find in the state-owned park just outside our development. Thinking back, it actually did look familiar somehow. Anyway, there was also a log there, and on that log were some detailed marks. I walked up behind that log, and tried to look very closely at the details. The feature I decided on trying to remember was a series of small notches in the wood, four to be exact, which were at the same height and about 40% percent from the right edge. I kept my eyes on this log as I 'woke up', although unfortunately I was apparently moving from the wind or something so my view was getting angled badly, and also, I then woke up into a non-lucid dream that lasted for a long time.

Anyway, what's neat is that this dream came up entirely within my regular sleep cycle, and it lasted for quite a while. I didn't even lose any sleep from it! (which was kind of what I was getting at earlier, that once you get better at it, you don't even need to spend any time on it, because it starts to happen automatically; the time is already spent in having a dream, you're just gaining the mindset where you start to realize whenever you're dreaming, and can then change that time dreaming into an adventure) Now that I'm awake, I don't think that place actually exists in our development, although I think I may have seen it somewhere else, because it felt very familiar. But all that aside, it was interesting and relaxing, and it makes me happy when I think back to it.

Methods: lay in bed next to my younger brother after being called; just fell asleep while not even thinking about lucid dreaming.

Summary: had about 4 consecutive false awakenings (they have details, but too tired and forgetful to write them down); on 5th false awakening, finally gave up on other goals and went out the window to fly; had an amazing experience flying past our old house, picking up my sister (by her request), and flying off into the woods for many seconds, the whole way fully conscious I was dreaming and looking in awe at the scenery and the appearance of objects as they appeared; eventually hit into a power line and 'woke up'; I raced to go write it down, with Dad being there with Davey not surprising me; while thinking about what to write down, I woke up for real.

Methods: stayed in bed, (after thinking about stuff after a natural awakening from having set my alarm), for the second half of my night sleep; performed around 3 SSILD cycles before falling asleep.

      Account:
I was lying in my bed. Somehow I knew that time had passed since the last time I was conscious. I did a reality check, and discovered I was dreaming.

At this I stood up, and clapped my hands a few times, I don't know exactly why but I think to turn the lights on or increase clarity. It didn't really work. I yelled something out, and walked out of my bedroom. I saw the light on downstairs, and I followed it. Now in the hall next to our dining room, I walk up next to my three sisters. I take a pause and try to remember what I wanted to do. I remember I want to try a test or skill that I can do wherever I am, so I don't need to worry about being in the right location to get better at it. I think of the fireball releasing capabilities. I try breathing into my hands in a weird way, I guess because I figured abnormal acts would be more likely to do something. That didn't work, so I figured I would just ask my sisters some questions. I walked up to Grace, and tried to ask her a question, but both she and Monica had headphones on loudly, and they refused to listen despite my insistence. So I gave up and turned to Chrissy. I asked her, "Chrissy, what is the purpose of life?" She responded with a utilitarian-type response, about achieving the greatest good for the greatest number, except I don't think using these specific terms. She actually finished the thought in one form, but then paused, and resaid it in another way. They were actually fully coherent. I think I said some things, and then she explained a slightly different view, that our purpose is simply to reduce "throughout the world" the amount of suffering as greatly as we can. I then talked with her on this, continuing the thought that "which will also naturally lead to greater happiness", with her agreeing, and then we went on. Eventually, we ended, and I looked for something else to ask. 'Hey, there's a calculator.' I then picked it up, and pressed a few buttons, which it somehow knew to mean, 'What is the meaning of life?'. I was just waking up, but I saw it spit out the numbers, ".06" on the first display, and "49" on the second. So ".0649", apparently. Cool, I always thought it was 42.

I woke up back in bed, and I instantly did a reality check. Aha, still dreaming. I went out of my bedroom, but I think I was wandering in the dark for a while. I remember that at some point, not knowing where I was, I saw a light flick on and I was in the sink room of our house in Wisconsin. Chrissy had apparently just turned it on. I said thank you, and we had a short discussion on something that I don't remember anymore. I then walked out into the living/dining room of our old house, and saw another calculator sitting on the island. I picked it up immediately, trying to ask it again about the meaning of life. I was trying to figure out how to ask it, when I thought of the number keys having letter equivalents. 'Oh, there they are.' My thoughts had made them appear just beneath the numbers, you know, the three letter combinations like "MNO". I actually spelled out "meaning of life", the entire thing, using these buttons, except I had the benefit of it knowing what letter I wanted out of the three each time. Anyway, I finished the phrase, and pressed the Enter button. It then displayed a menu, actually, with what looked like branches of philosophy. Oh man, I could get the same thing online. It didn't really give me a tangible answer, just statistical data and such. I tried navigating through it, but it was like an encyclopedia. Eventually, my dream faded.

Now back in bed, I did a reality check. 'Hmmm…' I couldn't really tell, the feeling in my airways when plugging my nose, was just at the point where it was inconclusive of whether I felt air pass through it or not. I yelled out something like, "Am I asleep?" to Chrissy, which of course didn't make any sense for a number of reasons. I somehow didn't find it unusual that I knew intuitively she was in another room with Dad, and heard her yell back to stop yelling. So instead I thought to myself, "Fine", as if that settled whether I was really dreaming or not. I then tried to remember my dream. But then after a few seconds, for some reason I stopped. And I stared at that text. 'Yeah, that bold, black text on the front of that tab, in that browser bar. I can know if I'm awake based on what that looks like.' So I stared at it, not realizing it made no sense to be visible, and I noticed one oddity, that it was bolder than tab-text usually was. This wasn't enough to make me realize I was dreaming, though. But enough that I thought, 'If this were a dream, I need to remember what this feels like right now.' I tried feeling my body lying in bed, and all the contact points with the blanket, pillow, and bed. And you know what, it was coherent and felt quite normal. But I did notice, that my body felt just a twinge more 'embedded' within the bed than I realized was normal. But again, this wasn't enough for me to realize I was dreaming, and I went back to trying to remember my dream. Within a few more seconds, I repositioned myself, and I felt something change. I then did a reality check, and I knew that I had just awoken from a false awakening. It's hard to explain how I knew; I believe it was the return of rationality, in a tangible way. You can feel when your ability to reason returns to you, by what could be described as a 'sharpness' or 'rigidness' of thoughts and concepts. It's that reality is more clear to you, suddenly. Anyway, at this point I realized that the dream account I had been forming within the dream had been lost, and virtually none of the dream was within my active memory. So I stayed in bed for a few more minutes, trying to re-remember the dream. I then turned back on my computer and wrote it all down on here, which I am only now just finishing.
