Color Code NON-LUCID LUCID SIDE NOTES
I am at what appears to be a large outdoor festival at night. There’s a bonfire with big open air tents scattered throughout the area. I notice that there are quite a lot of beautiful young women. Interestingly they are wearing armor so I assume it is some kind of renaissance festival. Anyway they are very seductive with people that pass by. One of them grabs me by the hand and presses me against the wall kissing my cheek. She looked kind of like this: “Tell me your dreams,” she whispers in my ear. Something doesn’t feel right. I look over at another man that was enamored with one, and as he speaks to her, a blue energy leaves his head and is absorbed into the girl. Then it hits me. They feed off of the memory of people’s dreams. If I told her any dream memory – she would steal it from my mind and erase any recollection of the experience I had. “No,” I say and push her away “Please!” she begs and grabs my hand. I just shake it away. I decide to fly above the crowd and notice there were a lot of these women. I wonder what they are. I dub them “dream sirens”. There is a big contraption in the middle of the gathering that they would turn on when they pushed people in - to forcibly suck dream memories out of their souls.. It’s actually kind of scary. I have a hard time remembering what exactly this machine looked like. My dreams are obviously extremely important to me so there was no way I was going to allow that. After a while of trying to escape from these girls (each kept trying to pull me toward them) a bell rings. “It's time for the final and most important extraction,” one of them looks at me. “And we choose you.” Now all of them are grabbing me and pushing me toward the center of the pit to force my dreams out of my head. I scream and kick, trying to get them off of me but it didn’t work and they keep pushing me toward the center. Before I reach it the dream ends.

I wake up for a brief moment and then go back to sleep, and am able to do a WILD I'm in the middle of a downtown city. It looks to be about midday - the sun is out and it's bright. The clarity is fantastic. I can see the individual leaves on the trees. I remember from reading Stephen LaBerge's work that in order to keep the dream stable I need to be constantly participating. So I try to take in everything I can. I begin to run down the street. There are no other people in sight. It's like a ghost city. I come to what looks like an Art History museum. Behind Glass is an ancient statue of an elephant. It's a humanoid elephant and it's style was strongly reminiscent of Egypt, India, and Greece all kind of melded into one. I remember studying the details of the white marble and marveling at how intricate they were. I even turned away and looked back and everything stayed the same. It was that stable! (I drew a depiction of it) I walk inside the museum, and feel like I own it. I mean essentially I did own it because it was my dream. But I walk around and look at a few things. I see another statue of a horse belonging to the same civilization that was intricately decorated with a headdress and feathers. I am pretty amazed at the beauty my mind had came up with for this civilization. I feel like I could derive a whole culture just from the statues that had been placed there for me to see. I walk into a darkened room and begin to hear an ominous static noise that reminds me of the game "SlenderMan". And as soon as I begin to fear seeing him he shows right up - just as expected. I quickly try to ignore him and he disappears. I notice a guy in a security uniform standing in the museum. I walk up to him and feel like he shouldn't belong. His eyes shift away from me, and he has a look on his face like he is up to no good. I tell him he needs to leave and he promptly replies "No." That's fine, so I try to erase him by waving my hand in front of my eyes and hoping as my hand passes he will disappear (this has worked in the past for me). But, alas, it does not work and he is still standing there. I turn around and see a couple of other guards (who seem legit enough) by a door. I wave them over and tell them to escort the guy I didn't like out of the museum. They immediately follow my instruction, grab him by the arm and take him away. I feel pretty satisfied, and then the dream ends
I text Tom to come pick me up and go out to grab some lunch. He pulls up to the driveway of what appears to be my mom’s house and Ray comes out and says bye (even though neither he or I live there)….but I don’t tell him who Tom is and wonder if he will get jealous. Tom is kind of a bad driver and almost hits the car parked in the driveway before we pull out. We start driving through town headed toward a restaurant. “How have you been?” he asks me “Good. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you.” “Yeah I haven’t seen you since….when was it that we dated?” “I wouldn’t really call it dating - we just went out that one day. I was really too naïve and not ready for a relationship at that time so…” He nods and asks me if I liked a picture on his facebook… in which he was pretending to poop. (There really is no such picture – on facebook he is pretty vain and narcissistic, posting pictures of himself and criticizing others a lot – so maybe my dream subconscious was referring to his pictures as crap or something.) “Don’t you take a lot of pictures like that?” I ask jokingly “Nope that’s the only one.” He looks good in person compared to what ive seen online, and better looking than when I first met him. Although in this dream he has long hair – in reality his hair is buzzed and doesn’t look as nice. While I am thinking about this he almost hits the curb, and a car nearly hits us. I yell at him, “Oh my god, your driving skills are awful!” But we laugh it off. I tell him we should go to Genghis Grill. Then I wake up.
My dad, sister and I are on the beach. The water is beautiful, and it’s clear and sunny outside. My dad goes for a swim but soon gets attacked by a shark. We rush him home but he doesn’t want to go to the doctor. And he dies later that evening from an infecton to the wound. The dream resets and we are back on the beach again. My dream-self interprets this as I had a dream and it predicted the future. So my dad gets attacked by a shark again. When we get him to the house I watch him like a hawk. I make him put antibiotics on his wound. He doesn’t listen to me about staying in bed. It’s like telling a child not to do something. He gets up. Says he is going out for a drive and gets in his car. I get in the car with him to make him stop. He drives through the house breaking through walls to get outside. While he is driving with me in the passenger side trying to stop the car, I realize I am dreaming – I guess because none of this made any sense. I jump through the windowshield and fly high into the sky. It’s difficult to stabilize the dream because I haven’t been lucid in quite some time. The constant flow and feeling of the wind against my skin helps. Whenever I try to slow to a stop the dream starts fading away so I keep flying fast. I see a church that resembles the Duomo of Florence, except its next to the ocean. I decide I want to land on it…but again as I try to the dream fades and I am back in bed.
