Lucid Non-Lucid Thoughts


I was on a cliff overlooking a waterfall with two other guys. I did not recognize them but they were my friends. There were lots of people below swimming in the water. The water was really clean, almost like pool water. One of the guys that was up there with me decided he was going to jump from the cliff into the deep end. But there were a lot of rocks on the way and I was worried he wouldn't make it. The other person there dared him to, so he jumped. Right before he was going to hit the water he landed on a large rock and face planted into the side. He kind of dragged along the rock and seemed to pass out. I was really upset, thinking that he might have died. But as soon as I though that he looked up smiling and said he was alright. He then stood up and jumped away from the rocks. I remember right after that happened a man in a suit started yelling at us saying that we weren't allowed to jump from the waterfall and to get down. I turned around to come down the slope and accidentally slipped and started falling right toward the rocks so I tried to "slide" down grabbing on to anything I could on the sides to help break my fall. It worked, and I landed on a ledge safely, but I was still in trouble because I was still fairly high up and there were still a lot of hard rocks right below me. For some reason there was a ladder to my left hanging loosely on a nail or something. I hopped onto it and started swinging it outwards. Somehow I was able to swing out far enough to where I could jump out of the ladder into a safe area. As soon as I was in the water I was pushed downstream of the river and the two guys I was with followed me. I asked one of them why it took me downstream so fast. He just replied that there was a strong current today. I remember he kept trying to tickle me from behind. The river changed from being natural to being kind of artificial and man made. I remember there were tiled walls on either side of me. The water also began to get very dirty and gross. I put my feet down and touched the floor. It was very slimy. I told the two guys with me to be careful and not touch the bottom because it was disgusting. Then I woke up.

I was not lucid at all in this dream. I've been focusing on school and work so much I haven't had time to concentrate on my lucid dreaming. I'm trying to start it back up though, and it all starts with dream recall. I feel that even when recalling non-lucid dreams I get a strange satisfaction. I don't really know how to describe it.
