      Ragehart's Workbook

Hi there, , Im 14 , From Philippines , I want to start LDing again, I stop last time because of many FAIL attemps -.- ,
And I want to do the DILD technique, because WILD seems hard for beginners. Last time i already have 2 LDs, but its very short, for about 10-15 seconds only , It always occur in the morning, I've started to practice LD again last Jan 12, 2013 , and Im starting to loose my motivation, -.- I can only remember 1 dream most of the time and do 1-2RCs/hr , Im also practicing ADA, and doing WBTB when I have the time. Will you please teach me more about DILD ,techniques that will help my DILD , I'm a musician and I want to have my First Great Concert in my dreams , Please help me teacher and thank you very much

      Welcome to DILD class.

Yes, it may be easier to WILD after you have at least a few DILDs. But don't be too hard on yourself. Take every attempt as a learning lesson, not a fail.

And short lucids are very common, especially when you starting out. It has something to do with lucids happening easier when we are already waking up, when we are starting to gain consciousness. And at that time it's also easier to wake up.

We should work first on your dream recall. It's actually quite easy. Check out this Collection of techniques for DILD about dream recall.

Best thing is to be thinking about dreams a lot and write whatever you remember in your dream journal. When you wake up at night or in the morning, don't more or open your eyes and try to think of any dream you may have had. Then write it down.

In the above article, please see the importance of emotions with RCs and the awareness question.

And yes, having a concert in a lucid would be awesome. I have read about surgeon practicing surgeries and sportsmen practicing his moves in lucids, so playing an instrument is also possible.

So please read the article and post your questions here. happy dreams

Tthanks sir gab , and sorry for my late reply . my dream recall has increased greatly , after lessening my caffeine intake ,and It's going to increase more thanks for your guide sir ^_^ , i usually have 3 dreams remembered at most, and sometimes 5 ^_^, I've already achieved my induced lucid dreams, luckily I have 2 in one night, , I have some questions sir :

      1. Is it alright if I combine 2 techniques? like MILD + DILD.
      2. Is the time in Dream and Reality differ?

Thanks sir gab happy and sweet lucid dreams ^_^

So glad to hear about your dream recall getting better. And great job on your lucids.

And yes, DILD is actually MILD (mantras) + RC + awareness question.

I'm pretty sure the time in dreams and waking life is the same. Sometimes, you can have a dream about a whole day or even longer, but that still last's only minutes in waking life time.

The article Collection... I linked you above has mantras, RCs and awareness. They are all together very powerfull method.

Keep writing in your DJ. And please ask if you have any questions. happy dreams

      1. It differs for everybody. A lot depends on how excited you are, if you put emotions into your practice and if you KNOW, that you gonna have a lucid tonight.

      2. It's when you think to yourself "if this was a dream, I would be floating", or as you are sitting or walking, you try to make yourself float up.

      3. I don't know anybody who has LDs every night, except a natural lucid dreamer. But don't worry, once you get really good, you will have plenty of lucids.

      4. 108 events - I had this many WILDs and DILDs and OBEs together.

Thanks for the great reply sir gab, I have an LD this morning, will you please tell me sir gab what happened?

      LD6:
I'm watching a foreigner play GTA-SA, He is riding a motorcycle and he is so fast, And I said "I want to try it on my dreams", then I suddenly got teleported in a Bridge, and I have a motorcycle, I ride it and I'm so fast, I suddenly realized "I don't know how to ride a motorcycle in real life" , then I became lucid, I tried to fly my motorcycle and it was a success, when I'm in mid-air, I suddenly got teleported in a bed, in a different room, then my legs still feel the flying thing, but my upper body is paralyzed, I tried to stabilize the dream, but I can't really move, My heart is beating so fast, and I tried to levitate, I can't, It looks like my Spirit is seperating from my body, and I stop for a second, Then I tried it again, It's a success, I tried levitating when I am standing and I failed, and when I am about to go outside, I woke up.

Thank you very much sir gab ^_^

Wow, congrats! You had a DILD!

I'm not sure what happend when you got teleported into a bed. It could have been still a dream, or you were really back in your bed while watching the dream around you.

Sometimes I have the floaty thing, when my arms or legs float up in the air. Then i do what you did - I try to levitate up or roll out of my sofa and then stand up and continue with a dream.

Nice lucid, by the way. Keep them coming

Sir Gab, what stabilization technique do you use ? I want to know more about it, cause my longest lucid is about 15-30 seconds only ,

Yes, sorry to hear that, but don't worry. It will get better. Most of my lucids are same short as yours, maybe even shorter. I don't think I'm doing anything different in lucids that are longer.

But the point behing stabilizing is to become one with the dream. To engage all your senses. So this is what you can do:

      - clap your hands (you can feel it and hear it)
      - touch your dram body (feel your clothes)
      - touch anything that's nearby (ground is always there, so no need to go look for something)
      - smell the air
      - eat something and taste it (again, ground is always there, so go ahead and lick it
      - say something out loud, or sing
      - shout commands "clarity now" "stabilize now", "lucidity now". Say it loud and like you mean it!

Most of the time we get lucid is when we are most aware. It's either when we just fell asleep or we are close to waking up. That's why it's so easy to wake up from a LD.

Keep thinking during day, that you will not wake up too soon. That you will sleep untill you want to get up. Once you start thinking that all your lucids are short, than they will be short.

      Good luck

Holy smokes, that's awesome recall! Keep writing in your dream journal and when you are inbetween awake and asleep, say thank you for my dreams to your higher self. That's the best time to talk to you subconscience, that's why mantras are most powerful when repeated at that time, when you are almost asleep.

Well, I got my first LD after all day of reading this thread from Hyu. It's very long, but I could not stop reading it. I love space and this was about one DC taking him to her planet.

I don't read manga, but I guess any animated/fantasy show where normal rules of physics don't apply should help you with motivation. You know, flying, magic, teleportation, telekinesis, and such.

Ok, here is one movie, it's free on line, and book is free too. It's called Nosso Lar - Our home. It's about astral projection, not Lucid dreams. But if you believe in OBEs/astral projection/ afterlife/reincarnation, then this is a very beautifull movie.

      Lucid dreaming books link.

      Happy dreams to you

That is an amazing recall Awesome!

      My personal belief is this:

Lucid dreams and dreams happen on the dream plane. It can be either a private place, where there is nobody else just us and creations of our mind.
Here, we can change our environment - create new things, summon, make things disappear, change colors, and other dream control stuff.

Or it could be a public dream place, occupied by us, creations of our mind, other dreamers like us, and also entities that live in other dimentions.

OBE/AP - happens in the astral plane. It's a real place, where we can't change the environment. We can be there, also other people that are OBE, entities from those dimentions and also angels, dead souls, ...

But if you check out the Beyond dreaming forum, there is a couple of threads about this, maybe you will find them interesting. I can recommend you some OBE websites if you wish. Happy dreams
