      Ben's Workbook

Hi I'm Ben Hull, I'm Twelve and I'm from Britain. I only learned about Lucid dreaming because I wrote 'Can you control your dreams' in Google... and when I found out that you could... I was immediately excited to try it. I hope to master this so I can realise when I am in a dream because the idea of controlling a dream sounds amazing. So far I have not had a Lucid Dream, I hope to have one soon though because the idea just sounds amazing.

Welcome Ben! I appreciate your enthusiasm! Seize this opportunity while you are still prime age for lucid dreaming! Younger ages seem to have an easier time lucid dreaming up to a certain age and then it seems to take quite a bit more work if you don't get your experience going now. Yes, controlling a dream is so amazing! You can explore wonderful worlds from your mind while in the safety and comfort of your bed at night! I sometimes get tears in my eyes thinking of some of the beautiful experiences I have had. And then there are the simply fun, exhilarating ones that leave you waking up smiling so big. What made you ask that question on Google, do you think? Check out this link if you haven't >> http://www.dreamviews.com/dild/13212...ods-dilds.html

Well, when I searched that, it was first because of a crazy dream which happened and I thought it would be fun to like, well, be in it I guess. I did not expect that you could create lots of things in them.

So what do you say? Is this something that you strongly want to do and are willing to devote a good chunk of the rest of your (summer break?) to and be able to continue some day practices into the school year? Did you go over that link I included and have any questions?

Excellent! What all have you started doing for your day practices? You should definitely dream journal and do RC's through the day. Do you have a phone or anything with a reminder to remind you to do RC's? WBTB during the summer or weekends, though not necessary, is a very effective way to activate your mind about 4.5 to 6 hours into your sleep period.

I have done reality checks, thumb through hand and counting fingers. I also did a WBTB once and got a semi-lucid dream I think. Except I wasn't really aware that day, so I couldn't make it more lucid.

I want to help. I notice that there are 7 question marks in your workbook thread, but that they are all from me. Based on post #5, I will assume that you still want to put some time into this. Try this for more awareness (wear a rubber band around your wrist or write the letter L on your palm and every time you notice it do these steps) :
      1. really stop everything when you think to do your RC's
      2. imagine all of the fun things you would do if this were actually a dream while looking around.
      3. while you are looking around tap or rub your nose to solidify the point that you are there in this moment, experiencing this (it puts part of you in view as you look around - try it right now as you are reading this)
      4. Now do your two RC's, consider adding a third or mix it up periodically.

Then try those WBTB's while on summer break or weekends. That will activate your mind a little and allow you to put your awareness training into action with that next dream and become lucid!

Will do! I've set an alarm for 4:00 so I might get one tonight.
