      Problem With My Imagination

      I use my imagination very often, if I'm bored, or if I want to be somewhere else and I got very good at it, but through my countless Wild tries I encountered always the same problem.

      All of us tried at some point to generate HIs to enter a dream, but my problem is, that my imagination is often very unstable. I can see small objects very clear and reasonable stable, but if it gets bigger, then it gets harder to keep it stable.

      I know that it's impossible to get a perfect imagination, but I really want to know if it's possible to get the images stable. Maybe some of you out there mastered this skill somehow, or have some ideas on how to train it

      Just practice holding a visualization as steady as possible for as long as possible, start with simple things and get more complex.

      Sounds easy, but I tried that for a long time, but it seems, that I still often change the point of view on the object. Maybe I should try learning to keep my position, and if I mastered that, go on to the quality.

      Wait - if your goal is to achieve Hypnagogic Imagery (I'm assuming that = HI?), you don't need to actually "create" them with visualization.

      IME HI generally arises spontaneously once you've reached a near-sleep level of relaxation. The more relaxed your are, the more vivid internal experience tends to become.

      If you do some body relaxation exercise/breath focus meditation for a while first, your visualization will be more vivid when you do get to it. Or if you just keep up the relaxation long enough, vivid images and sounds will start to appear on their own.

      Getting all of the senses involved and narrating your internal experience with descriptive, sensory specific detail (out loud or in your head, called Image Streaming) are other ideas that might be helpful.

      Thx. I really just want to train my visualization skills and hope, that it will maybe help with LDing, but it's true, I actively tried to get HIs, because I often heard different opinions about it.

      Yea if you really want it to be stable, the first thing you need to do is get relaxed. You can do this easily by some deep breathing. And remember, practice makes perfect, so practice each day and you will get great results.
      Whenever your thinking, just remember thoughts become things.
      Current goals:
      -Drive a Ferrari 458 { }
      -Go to a different plant { }
      -Street race with different cars { }
      -Kiss Megan Fox { }
