Help! my dreams are too much like videogames!

I'm a huge fan of Video Games, and play them everyday. whenever i have an LD, it almost always goes to 3rd person and when i try to do something cool, i start doing it then suddenly i finish it up involuntary and i lose my senses of touch, taste, and smell until it's over! how do i make my LDs less like a videogame and more realistic???
I have returned, but I'm not the same

As soon as you get into the LD, look around and focus on how realistic everything is. Look at an object, feel the wind, smell the scent, etc etc. When you get a feel for how vivid everything is, don't let it go. Focus on it during everything you do, and eventually it'll become more and more commonplace in your dreams. Only problem with this is if you start an LD in video game mode, or third person, then you'll have to close your eyes to teleport into a first person dream scene. or spin if you can.

Funny thing is, this works both ways, I had an LD a couple of days ago where I flew over the ocean, and I was looking at how vivid it was, then I saw the clouds, and I thought it looked a bit like a video game, I focused on it more, and the whole world looked like a 3d vectored video game. It was beautiful, but after like 10 min of me doing things "video-game-style" I FA'd and told my friend about it, as if the dream was a video game. I told him how to fly in it, and where the good spots are, etc etc.

Then there's the obvious answer of not playing video games so much, but who would really want to do that?

EDIT: Oh yeah, play more first person games if your problem is strictly point of view.

Used to play oblivion loads in third person and had the same problem. When I started playing in first person, after a week or so the dreams changed to match.

Stop playing video games and start playing outdoors.

In that case, just stick with the first person perspective games. Alternatively, you can augment your gaming line-up with games that don't have a perspective at all.

Or you could, you know, read a book. Anything to break up the day will help.

Actually I find reading a lot of books to help with dream control just as much as videogames do. Some of my dreams even lucid go between 1st and 3rd person of there own accord I like it because it switches into third person in a way similar to the GTA games (yes I know those are all 3rd person but when the camera zooms out during big jumps) to give me a cinematic view of my actions.

I wonder if movies like cloverfield and quarentine affect perspective in your dreams? In those movies the camera is being held by one of the characters giving you a first person view of the movie.
