      Recurring issue while dreaming

When I dream I tend to get pulled down by gravity at times and I can barely move or do anything, I feel very small and it's a struggle to get on my feet again. Sometimes it even breaks the dream. This happens a lot when my dream starts with me lying in my bed.

How do I go about solving this problem?

Does this happen in LDs or non lucid dreams? If it is non lucids, then that would be a good thing to add to your visualizations. If it is in Lucid dreams, then I wouldn't worry about it until you have about 50 LDs. Before that, lucids are normally pretty unstable and unreliable and you make the problems that you will have later on, if you think that you have problems before that. Unless something has happened in 20+ LDs, it isn't really a problem, it is just something that you should forget about so that you don't subconsciously expect it.

Next time, notice in what position you were sleeping. It could be one of the causes. I say this for myself. I had some dreams that i couldn't run, felt heavier, like i was in 10 times the gravity of Earth. I noticed that this only happened when i was sleeping in a certain position.

Thanks for the input you two. I will try to remember to check my sleeping position, and also see what happens when I start getting more LDs again.

Your problem could be caused by something weighing you down emotionally, and the gravity is just your subconscious's way of dealing with it.
I've had somewhat similar dreams before, the difference being that if I was attacked and fought back my punches wouldn't do anything.
I'm a more confident person and don't have dreams like that anymore.

I wonder what the problem is then. Are you implying I'm not confident? I don't really have very much emotional stress actually.

If none of those apply to you it's likely something else. It could be health related. Just trying to help you explore all the possibilities

My ex girlfriend, I'm over that shit for a long time now so that can't be it. Perhaps you are right about health related. I'm addicted to weed, and in the process of quitting now (day 7 bitches!), and I woke up from a couple of lucids just now. I can't remember them very well... but I do remember that I could just walk around as soon as I realised that I'm dreaming. Then the dream started to turn around... dream characters were grabbing onto my clothes and tried to do bad things to me, but I told them they can't harm me and laughed. It stopped. My best friend appeared and when I told him the same thing he was still grabbing onto me strangely enough, when I tried to fly. I wonder what it means...
Perhaps that he's standing close to me so he has more influence on me than strangers do because of that fact? Or he needs my help perhaps. Anyhow I still can't fly, hehe. Maybe I should focus on other things for now.

Still haven't said it, but I think doing nothing about my weed addiction was a big weight on my shoulders and I couldn't be free because of that fact. It's weird that I realise only now. Thanks Robinson.
