Nope, not necessarily! |

Would it be such a long time to have control in the dream? |

Nope, not necessarily! |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

If I understood what you meant, then no, if you believe you have dream control, you will have it. |

Lucid dreaming since September 2011!!!
Lucid goals: Jumping out of a car going at high speed and crashing into an oncoming car, completely destroying the car, leaving me unharmed. [ ],
Visiting moon [x], Proper flying [x], Stabilizing an LD perfectly [x], Shoot lightning/lasers out of my fingers [x], Shapeshifting [ ], Fly a helicopter [ ], TOTY 2013 [ ], Change dreamscene [x].
Lucids: 16 crappy, 15 good, 5 awesome.
Puffin pretty much said it all! But for me it just came with practice, now it's natural to me, don't worry about waking up at first because the amount you improve per lucid will probably be much more than you think! |

Excellent replies so far. Let me just add one small thing: start very small. Try to control one small aspect, or object, or occurance. See if you can influence something minor. As others have said, just believe you can do it - because you absolutely can. |

Bacopa for improved recall
Good feedback above and yeah, dream control varies by individuals but also on the mindset of the individual. Bottom line though is that anything is possible, it's just a matter of finding the right tools to help you get what you want. Use methods that you find appealing and are drawn to and start small. There's no rush and no ending point. |
