I have tried to do WILDS no success with those but I am able to DEILDs pretty often. What happens is I wake up in the dream in my bed Ill stabilize the dream by feeling everything, becoming as aware of my surroundings and senses in the dream as I can, then Ill try to do whatever my goal is in the dream. Within about 1-2 min of dreaming I will just wake up. Most of the time there is no warning when this happens, if there is I may feel tired about a second or two before I wake up but I just have no time to do anything to maintain the dream. I just dont know what to do because the way in which this happens. |

The length of your lucids will increase over time. I'm right around #74, I think, and mine are generally 5-10 minutes. There's still times where I'll have lucids that last 10 seconds and a couple times I've had one that was over 20 minutes, but they all vary a bit. You said you're pretty good at DEILD which is a good way to make use of short lucids, but if you want to increase the length you could try stabalizing it more. When you normally stabalize do you just rub your hands? If you do, then try rubbing them for more than a few seconds, closer to 20-30 seconds. Also, really focus on your surroundings. Embrace the dream and activate all 5 of your senses from how stuff looks and smells, to feels and even tastes. You really just want to anchor yourself in the dream but not to the point where you lose lucidity (just preform occasional RCs inside the dream). |

There are some things I was not doing that was in that tutorial. Its just strange to me because of how I am not excited, trying to do crazy stuff in the dream, or have any thoughts about waking up. The dreams also are usually crystal clear, usually when the dream starts just thinking of making the dream clear makes it that way. Its just this sudden drop out of the dream. This I think should help me though, I didn't think of examining the details of my hands while using verbal commands. Ill let you know how it goes. |

I usually rub my hands and/or feel anything I can and think of making the dream clearer, which seems to stabilize the dream pretty good. I guess I might not spend enough time anchoring myself to the dream, I usually spend about 15 secs. Ill try the smell and taste which I have not done. |

I have never thought about rubbing my hands together. I'll have to try that one. |
|
If you guys are into hand rubbing, maybe try it with lotion or some other lubricant. |
