First Lucid Dream Since ActivelyTrying: Dream Control, I've never had this much control in my life

Wow! just woke up from a nap and had the best dream ever. I have been trying to have a lucid dream for about a week and a half and finally had one. I was in a regular dream and eventually i became lucid and started controlling stuff. I started by clearing everything, i focused on a wall with a door in it and raised the door up and down like it was something of scroll and was able to change the pattern on the wall like it was Tetris.

I kind of went through the dreams practicing all the techniques i was reading about on this site. I turned around to create more space, i looked at my hands and the wall to stabilize my self and when i looked down at my hands, man was that a sight, i realized one of my fingers was bent backwards. lol. it was easier to control everything when there was less going on around me, i had to stabilize myself when i started bringing people in, before there it was literally like me in a warehouse just trying to will stuff to change. some of it worked some of it didn't. Im very excited that I flew, ive alwasy had trouble flying but i never really did while lucid, i still had limitations but thats the most ive ever flown ever. the sun started to set at one point and i was afraid of it turning into a nightmare so i verbalized my intent and said "Look! its about to be morning" and yup the sun came back up.

Now i have a concern about it being night and nightmares in my dream and how afraid i am of my dream turning into a nightmare and how that might affect my control and lucidity. but thats another post. just wanted to share my experience. OMG I'M SO PUMPED! does anyone say "pumped" anymore. well thats how excited I am about this. Thanks to all, ill keep everyone posted. :bravo::bravo::

      Congratulations!

Sounds like it was an amazing dream. How much lucid dreams did you have before trying to induce them?

      Well done!

As for nightmares, there's nothing to be afraid of.

Thanx all. Enjyu, I had two i can remember off hand since the begining of the year. before that i don't remember. My more memorable experiences are when I had sleep paralysis. i didn't know what was going on and was scared. Shadow, My nightmare concerns are about my losing control of the dream, or my racing mind thinking faster than i can control it, you know that feeling you get when your afraid and don't know whats on the other side of the door trying to get you. lots of things come into my mind, i think " how horrible it would be if a terrible demon or monster attacked me right now, came up behind me, tried to kill me" etc. so many images instantly come into my mind. i guess ill eventually just have to face my fears and realize that i can have control over them. that in itself is scary because you can imagine the funnest things in the world and out of this world to do in your dreams but that means that the deepest darkest fears can manifest themselves in them too. loss of control in those situations is what my concern is its scary to have to go through that even if you know it cant hurt you the fear is still there, does that make sense?. but ill cross that bridge when i get to it. for now i will try to enjoy and keep at it.
