      Question Who's good at shapeshifting?

I have an annoying problem regarding physical sensation of new or changed body parts.

Let's say I grow a tail in a lucid dream. I can see my tail and almost control it well enough for effective use. After over a year of development(a year because I have only been able to develop it within the dream ~6 times), I have nearly completed the physical sensation. But what if I wanted to generate a random combination of 6 or 8 limbs and such, when I don't have a clue of what it might feel like? Is there a way to receive sensation on the spot?

I shift into a wolf and hawk on command, once a dragon...... but I've always been aware of my whole body. I guess in most dreams, I don't like "FEEL" per say..... If I fall I don't hurt, ect. Even lucid. Only when I enter into further clarity does it feel completely real. I do however, control all parts of me no matter what I am. So I suppose just being fully aware that you are now sporting a new limb, and working on that awareness would help.

You could try the 'pill method', there's a tutorial or post about it on here. During a LD, as best as you can, imagine there's a pill in your pocket (or wherever), don't over-think it just reach in, pinch something, put it in your mouth and believe it will give you 4 arms etc that do whatever you want them to. Other ideas...

Summon what you want to be and watch it do what you want then take over its body.

Close your eyes (when awake) and imagine you have the parts you want and practice controlling them, one, then two at a time, etc like learning to juggle.

I wonder if "the glove thing" from hypnosis would work during a LD, just say and believe that touching your 'tail' etc with your hand will give what you touch sensations, try taking it away from a known part and putting it back.

I hope to do some shape shifting in the near future too, good luck.

The dream will probably come up with something by itself. It shouldn't be too difficult, really. Take feelings of the limbs in question, duplicate them, place them in different positions, and blammo!
