      I keep waking up =\

Little bit of background. I've only had one actually lucid dream before. I continue to preform RC's in my dream and when I notice or say I'm dreaming I wake up. Little frustrating, but its good to know that I'm starting to become conscious in my dreams.

So last night I fully experienced my first false awaking. It was a pretty neat experienced here's what happened.

I was laying in bed thinking about what just happened. Previously I was in side the computer game playing League of Legends, and I was AH-HA! That was a dream. I though to my self it's to bad I woke up after wards and wasn't able to recognize i was dreaming. I look over to my book case, and I see this girls head that i work with just chillin. Right in the bookcase. I was like AH-HA! I'm dreaming. I felt a huge rush of excitement through my body, and then I was back in my bed again feeling each of my limbs again. I open my eyes, and then close them with frustration and go back to sleep.

So looking back I feel as if i really should have preformed a reality check after the second time I woke up because that all as well could have been a dream. However, my main question is. How do I stay asleep? Whats the trick?

I'm afraid there is no trick. We are bound to wake up multiple times in the night when a sleep cycle ends, so if you become lucid right before then, then waking up will be inevitable. But good news! You can do a DEILD

Also, practice doing reality check everytime you wake up, no matter where you are. This can help catch FAs in the future. Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I agree that you can not prevent waking sometimes. The easiest time to be lucid is while on the verge of waking. With experience you can get lucid in deeper sleep.

I would recommend doing a DEILD! The best thing is that it is way easier to do if you are already waking from a lucid dream! I am currently trying to master it by waking up normally, but I am having a huge problem with moving.

While it's probably true that you're having lucid dreams at the end of a REM cycle, it's also possible that you're waking up because of your own excitement.

I was like AH-HA! I'm dreaming. I felt a huge rush of excitement through my body, and then I was back in my bed again feeling each of my limbs again.
I remember reading that in most peoples' first lucids they will become too excited, which causes the dream to destabilize and potentially collapse around them. If you were to stay calm instead of getting a "huge rush of excitement," the dream might last longer.
