      Terrifying Dream Guide Experience?

I've been away from lucid dreaming for quite a while, but I was thinking about it the other day and decided I want to get back into it.

When I first started a couple of years ago, I remember reading a lot of stuff on dream guides and I thought it was really interesting and tried searching for my dream guide in a couple of lucids I had back then.

The first time I tried, I tried calling out in the dream and literally shouting "Do I have a dream guide?" I was pretty surprised when the dream replied to me though...

A really creepy "yes" echoed inside the dream and there was just such a bad feeling with it, it was so strange. So I asked if I could see, or meet with the guide but I got no reply after that and woke up shortly afterwards.

However, the other night after I decided to get back into lucid dreaming, I actually had an LD that very night. I ran outside in the dream and called out again "Do I have a dream guide?" but what happened next was terrifying...

I was hit by this huge powerful wave of... power. (Sorry I have no idea how to explain this lol ) This huge force just came at me from nowhere. It felt so awful and everything just felt wrong, and it was really terrifying... I remember being lifted slightly above the ground and everything was just spinning, but without even moving. It was weird. I felt like I was being sent to hell or something...

It only lasted a few seconds though, so when it stopped I decided to try calling out again. The same wave of power hit me, but this time I was thrown into a false awakening into one of my childhood nightmares, stuck in my bed surrounded by strange, creepy stuffed animals that weren't mine. I was still aware I was dreaming and wanted to climb out the window and have another try, but I couldn't move. I couldn't seem to force myself awake either so I just started shouting and had about 6 more false awakenings in the same situation afterwards.

Not sure what I'm looking for by posting this, just wanted to share I guess. I'd love to hear any thoughts on it though!

Also, I wasn't entirely sure where to post this but I saw a couple of other DG threads in here so...

Well, I've always had a problem with people claiming to have met their DG when they just called out for him/her/it. If a DG is indeed a manifestation of your subconscious I'm sure it takes a bit more than just a simple question to find the DG.

Anyways who knows? That's just my point of view. What happened to you what I believe, is that you really don't want your DG to be evil and by messing with things like that you would unlock doors that are best kept locked. Your fear of it turning out bad took a hold of you and ironicly it ended up being just as you feared. This is how dreams work basicly, even if you perhaps didn't have any worry at the moment, there's a chance it's already in your subconscious.

Know that your expectations are responsible for what's happening and you can turn it all around next time. Don't worry, nothing can hurt you in your dreams anyways. DG's are usually friendly and helpful (don't see how your own subconscious would want to hurt you) so if you do meet your DG for real one day, it'll be a pleasant experience
