So, are you saying that you lose your lucidity or you lose the dream altogether? If you are losing your lucidity, I'd recommend shortening your stabilization process and immediately start engaging in "dream activity" (walk around, look around, examine your surroundings, etc.) If you are idle for too long in a lucid dream, you can definitely lose your lucidity. Tell yourself, "I'm in a dream right now, I'm dreaming" every now and then to keep your lucidity. Practice and experience will help with this. |

Thanks for the reply the only thing i can ask is dream recall its wierd for me sometimes i remember 4 dreams easily and sometimes hardly my last dreams actions. |
|
Yeah, dream recall is another one of those hurdles involved in LDing. It takes patience and practice. Before you lay down for sleep remind yourself, "I'm going to dream tonight AND I'm going to remember them when I wake up. I'm sure you know this already, but a Dream Journal is really the easiest way to enhance your recall. Keep a notebook, laptop, or something, right next to your bed. That way, as soon as you wake up, you can write down those dreams. They can, at times, be forgotten within minutes of waking up if you don't get them written down. When you are trying to recall your dreams upon waking up, try to remember the most recent event that happened just before you woke up. Then ask yourself, "Ok, what was I doing before that...and that...and that..." Its much easier to remember dreams in reverse order, for most dreamers. |

Normaly when i get lucid which is every second night i remember everything i did but i tried going without rc when i get lucid and yea it was good it lasted maybe 3-5 mins but still in the end i lose myself every time how can i prolong my dream and get it more vivid any advanced techinques i tried rubbing hands, saying im in control etc. i think making it rain in my dream will make it more vivid does that make any sense? |
|
Sure, it makes sense. Engaging in dream activity can help you break any sort of connection your mind has to your physical body. Creating rain, is definitely a dream activity that can help you fully lock into your dream scape, which helps with stability and increasing the clarity. With that said, creating rain is generally more difficult than some other activities that can do the same thing the rain would do. Here is a link to a DVA lesson I gave a couple years ago. It explains how to stabilize your dream, increase your clarity, as well as prolonging a dream. The backbone to all of these is staying calm and keeping your emotions under control. Too much emotion or too much adrenaline is a recipe for losing your dream. Anyway, here is the lesson: Stabilization & Prolonging Your Dreams |
