Unhappy Confused about why its difficult to do certain actions in my lucid dreams

I have noticed that often when I LD there are certain actions that prove difficult to perform. The most prominent examples that come to mind are once I became lucid and gave myself powers to do things like move through walls or make force fields. I would put my hand against a wall and concentrate on moving my hand through it, then my whole body. I have to stay concentrating hard because if I don't then It won't work. My hand will either bounce back out from the wall, like I'm trying to put my hand through rubber only to get thrown back, and it takes a while to finally accomplish what I'm trying to do. Another time was when I was trying to protect my people from another group of people's leader who was trying to come inside our towns wall to destroy us, I knew that the dream wanted me to just hold him off with distractions but I though "heck, this is my dream and I want a better way!" So I developed force field powers, except they were difficult to manage and if I lost even a little concentration he would start slipping through somewhere and I'd have to up my efforts, which felt very straining. I would progressively get better and better, like making the field stronger, or bigger, but it was a slow progress and usually the rest of my dreams would be consumed with me trying to do these things.

Other examples are powers like flying, (see my first lucid dream DJ for an example) and sometimes even running. Anytime I decide I need to run to get away from something, or to get somewhere quick, it feels like I'm running through water. It's the most annoyingly slow running ever. Again, concentration depends on how slow I go, the only time I'm able to run normally is if the dreams normal plan calls for it. Things like this are usually the only things I have problems with. Other things, like controlling where my wrecking car is going to land so I won't die, or someones personality and actions so I won't be as disappointed or frightened as I would have been, usually are A LOT easier to control. Even tapping into the dreams story itself to change some of the events isn't nearly as hard as these things. I think it's just actions that I myself try to do. Why is that, you think?

I think faith is important here. I had exactly same problems like you describe until I started putting more pressure on believe that I could do those things (in a dream of course). When I have doubts or something doesn't work I say out loud for example "I WILL TELEPORT NOW" or "WALL LET ME THROUGH". It really increased the limit of what I could do in lucid dreams.

Ya that makes sense. Now that I think about it, when I'm having non-lucid dreams I honestly know that I have certain powers and am able to do them, when I lucid dream I know that In real life I can't do this but I want to in a dream. I see it as someone who is trying do things they aren't supposed to do. I need to start believing that I can because I am in a dream where I can do those things. Thank you

Right, your faith is everything in your LD.

Your intent to do something is what makes you doing it. Do not wish to do something, just do it. The less doubts you have the easier it will be.

When i was learning to lucid dream i had problems with punching and kicking fast, i wanted to kick as hard and as fast as possible but i would end up kicking very very slowly, like slow motion.

Expectation plays a lot. If you have any sort of small doubt, it will hinder you a lot in your dream control. Practise makes perfect though!
