Hey, I have been reading this awesome forum for a while and it is time for me to contribute.
This is a technique that I experienced in several LD and worked most of the time for me. Usually, when I want to stabilize a LD, I spin on myself in order to focus on the sensations of the air around me, and rub my hands.
When a dream was fading too fast, I was often facing the problem of loosing control of my body, which precedes waking up. When that happens, I obviously can't spin or control my hands.
The solution I found is imagining someone (or just hands) which grabs me by the shoulder and shake me forward and backward strongly. I feel the air around me (like when i'm spinning) and that makes me re-enter my dream body and usually I am able to continue the LD or do classic stabilization techniques.
The pros of it is that you don't need to be able to move your body by yourself, since it is another person/thing that moves it.
It was very powerful even when I was almost awoken, couldn't see or feel anything any more.
Don't hesitate to ask questions or give feedback!
