Last night I had a lucid dream about flying in a really cool looking city, but everytime I go to fly I have to imagin the wind blowing, I make a whisle sound to make it seem like the winds blowing, and I fly like a plane. everytime I go up to fast I fall down becouse of enersha, I have to rise slowly and catch drafts |

Monkey Is BACK!
That makes sense. Since, you can do anything, by thinking logically you are making it like there needs to be ogical boundrys, but there doesn't. So it's like you're making yourself restricted by thinking logically. |
|
I wouldn't say it restricts you, but it makes it a whole lot harder. |

Tips For Newbies | What to do in an LD
Unless otherwise stated, views expressed in this post are not necessarily representative of the official Dream Views stance. Hell, it's probably not even representative of me.
I probly spend to much time thinking logical, it's like my mind works that was I once read a book about a kid with aspergers sydrom, and he thought logical all the time he couldn't understand metophors, and I've got aspergers syndrom as well (mild) so I guess I'm just logical by nature, it doesn't bother me I've gotten good at making the wind blow and flying like a plain seems more life like |

For me what often limits my dreams is my beliefs. |

Agreed. Once some new information reaches you, you change what you believe you can do in your dreams, thus it stretches your dreams to a even further extent. |

If you we're truely being logical you'd realize you dont have to use tricks! but saying that, i prefer using tricks! I used to fly like Neo, as fast as I wanted wherever I wanted, but it leaves me feeling a little empty in the pit of my stomach. Its a feeling like Im not grounded in anything and I hate that. As people on this great earth, we want to be grounded in some way, wether directly on the ground, riding the wind or swinging by ropes. Now, I prefer doing a spiderman swing to get around and "swimming"through the air. I don't think it's holding me back at all. I love swimming through the air! |

It sounds like you're not being logical enough tbh! Logic would tell you that it's a dream, and that the wind isnt real, and that you can do whatever you like! If this doesnt work, try to think up a tricky way to get around it, like putting on a 'wind-proof suit' before flying so it doesnt affect you! :3 |

Look at my "4th realm" thread on LD experiences. If you believe in the 4th dimention it will give you an idea how to use it to your advantage while being logical. |

I agree with the others. |

The Ancient Entity - Now Roaming The Borders of The Watcher's Domain.
You're not thinking logically enough within your dreams. One must only realize that every object, character, and physical law within a dream is merely a construct of your mind, mere electrical signals interpreted as images. As such, at the very base of things, there are no physical laws in dreams because none of the objects "exist" as matter created from atoms nor is they’re truly any large body to cause a gravitational field. There are no laws. |
