Ok check this out, the easiest method possible of controlling your dreams... Don't control them yourself.

Get dream characters to help you. Maybe your not too good at doing something, but as long as you really believe it can be done, ask a dream character to do it.

Everything I've had a dream character do for me, be it change the scene, get me a car, or make someone appear, its worked. I've also gotten them to Grant me Magical Powers, which seems to help allow me to use them.

So next time you can't do something, ask a dream character to do it for you.

Ah, I remember posting about this once. In my second lucid dream (before I knew what LDs were) I had a dream character who helped me by teleporting me to places. In fact, amazingly, the topic I made about it is still around:

http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/index.php?...ic=6895&hl=

I haven't actually tried it since, but I assume it would be an effective method. If you don't believe you can do something yourself, then get a dream character who is an 'expert' in the subject, who you will believe can do whatever it is.

I have experienced this myself and DCs can prove very useful, however I believe that the answer to real control is as simple as realizing the true nature of the dream (this is that it is a creation of your mind) and by doing this, you should be able to do anything.

I do believe that this may be difficult to achieve as our mind is clouded when we dream (this is my own experience, ignore me if it's not your case). You see, when I have a lucid dream, it's all action and no thought, which makes me unable to realize the true nature of the dream. I end up doing stupid thing and not beeing able to do what I want.

Dear Kastro,

Well, we need to wonder whether this is purely a technique for Dream Control or whether The Higher Dream Mind is trying to emphasize, particularly for your own benefit, that you should make a habit of reaching out to other people.

So let's examine this possibility. In Waking Life do you often rely upon other people, or are you insular and independent?

And then there is the concern for what you are contributing to the Dream. In my dreams I have been experiencing a great deal of team work with the Dream Characters, where the Dream Characters have their distinct talents and make their contributions to the progress of the Dreams, but I have developed an expertise all of my own -- I seem to be the expert at diplomacy, talking, or in particulary tense situation I become the Security Consultant... the soldier... the body guard.

But it was not always this way. Now I am an old man. What I suppose is that over the years I was able to incorporate and integrate some of the more admirable Dream Characters into my own Persona.

In your dreams, where the Dream Characters have nearly all of the Powers, the ultimate goal of your program of Lucid Dreaming should be to integrate the best of your dream characters into your own persona. And that doesn't really require much of a deliberate technique. One only has to work with and admire such Dream Characters and the magnetism of the affinity does the rest... over the years.

One's Dream Persona can change and develop over time. This can be verified by looking into Dream Mirrors, or even shiny plates of glass... glass doors... long glass windows... and see yourself. You might be surprised that it is not a likeness of your Waking Self that is looking back at you from your Reflection.

Anyway, it is a wonderful acknowledgment that Dreams have a Subjective Reality and that the Dream is influenced by the Dream as much or more than it can be by the Individual Dream Persona. Many Lucid Dreamers are entirely solipsistic, supposing that the entire Dream Scence, characters and all, are completely insubstantial, and their own imagination the only factor. Enter your point of view, and now the Dream has all the Power. Good, this should bring some balance to our Philosophy of Lucid Dreaming.

Good Post. We will all have to focus more on Dream Team Work. Besides, it is good for Civilization -- the practice of Cooperation, instead of the more destructive impulses toward independence and freedom.. traits more token of the Barbarian World then of the Civilized.

Ultimate control? I don't think it's possible within a High Level environment, especially when considering High Level lucidity only associates the awareness level and not the level of potential in which you cannot obtain ultimate control during High level states. But I like the reference of Dream Character doing the dirty work, in which I can say during my experiences does work fully only when they want to cooperate and making them comply is a lot more difficult then it seems. You still must be able to posses a great deal of control far more than just telepathy with the Characters but some form of assimilation.

I have experimented with this last night when I went to sleep. I was actually able to gain a little bit higher level of Lucidity that usual.

The reason I decided to even experiment with dream characters was because in 1 lucid dream I had, the character was laughing at me because I couldn't do what I wanted. So I yelled at them to try it themselves, and they did it flawlessly. What I was trying to accomplish was merely turn it to night instead of day.

But I think even with the highest level of Lucidity, it would be possible still. I haven't achieved it yet, so I could be 100% wrong on it.

I gotta ask: what do you do when there's no DCs around? What happens if they refuse or do something else?

My DCs can use powers, but they arent as good as mine...

i dont rely on anyone. i am the master of my dreams and the dreamworld, dreamobjects and dreamcharachters. if i made a dc charachter do something for me, it would only be because i didnt feel like doing it myself. I am a barbarian - free of all dependence on dream charachters, or as i like to call them, figments of my imagination. I do not find it necesary to rely on anyone in my dreams, tho i often find myself at odds with certain dream characters. I suppose that means my higher mind doesnt want me reaching out to others then?
Even so, there is definitely truth in what u say in that u should try to incorporate all dream characters into your persona, and i find this is a very intelligent way of putting something ive wondered about for a long time. Thou there are dream charachters we find in our waking lives, there are also charcters ive never met before, people who in all probability dont exist... early on, i considered these characters compilation personas, as in a mixture of people i had met in my waking life, but now i believe them to be different parts of my own personality... people that represent one part of me. I find it interesting that these characters are the ones I find most often in dreams... the reoccuring characters, the lead roles, if u will.
Of course there are others who i see frequently in my dreams, my close freinds family members. But in dreams i often find my self at odds with or helping out certain dream charcters that i believe represent parts of myself... these characters are the only DC's that i consider important, while i could care less if another character died in a dream, as they are only my perception of another person in my waking life. But in my dreams i refuse to kil or allow to die those parts of myself, because i feel if i do they may be damaged in real life, something i would not want to happen... I also find myself battling to keep certain sides of me in check, for instance, the carnal, "evil" part of me... the "id" of the freudian psychological system. (thou in my dreams there are more then three of these reoccuring dream characters, so i dont take the freudian system completely to heart) I've often found myself fighting him in my dreams, as if im trying to suppress him or hold him down... id like to hear what u have to say about this leo

I find it funny when I see dream characters referred to as seperate entities. There is NOTHING in the dream that is NOT YOU. The illusion of seperation seeps from our waking conciousness into our dreaming mind. Maya is powerful indeed.

Sorry, but do you ever post on topic
Lord of the Rings quotes:

"Behold, I am not Gandalf the Grey, whom you betrayed. I am Gandalf the White, who has returned from death. You have no colour now, and I cast you from the order and from the Council." - Gandalf to Saruman, The Two Towers

"Men of Gondor and Rohan, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of Men fails... when we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship... but it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when all hope comes crashing down, but it is NOT this day! This day, we fight! For all that you hold dear, stand, Men of the West! - Aragorn

"Far off yet is his doom, and not by the hand of man will he fall." - Glorfindel

"in Rivendell there live still some of his chief foes: the Elven-wise, lords of the Eldar from beyond the furthest seas. They do not fear the Ringwraiths, for those who have dwelt in the Blessed Realm live at once in both worlds, and against both the Seen and the Unseen they have great power." - Gandalf

Dream characters are people you see and interact with in your dreams.

If you are asking what they represent then I dont know for sure.

if a guardian angel exists then a devil must exist too here are my devils and angels:

angels: magnaangemon, flamedramon

devils: bat monster, sephiroth, freddy krueger

i told flamedramon to do something in my dream, it invovled blowing up a mountain, he did but it wasnt an order more of a friendly suggestion
