I nearly managed to control (more than 10 seconds) my third LD, but as I wanted to go out from the building I shouted 'OUT' and I instantly woke up...nevermind....

I just wanted to know how to go out of a building ?

I thought of it afterwards; ask a DC for the location of a window?...

      Thanks

IN LDs you can do ANYTHING... just keep thinking that. You could have just flown throught the walls, or blown up the building and left yourself unharmed.Or you could have teleported out. On the simpler side, just make a door!

      Good luck

Thanks....it's just I wanted and still want to insure myself I don't wake up....because when I said 'OUT' I really intended to to be teleported outdoors...but I guess I need to have several LDs before I try that...

If ever I'm indoor again I'm just gonna walk out through a door....(how boring is that? ....).....until my control on LDs increase

I never open anything in my LD's I usually walk through everything. A good technique is to close your dream eyes and visualize yourself outside of the building. Depending on your level of confidence you can never fail doing this.

Ok the VERY FIRST THING you should do...is stabilize your lucidity. This is the difference between having a 10 second lucid...and having a....let's say for beginners, a 2 minute lucid. Before you do anything else...or think anything else...once you realize you are lucid. Stop. Look at the palms of your hands very closely. Examine them in detail. And say firmly...stabilize lucidity now! You can say it over and over again until you feel that your dream is stable. The more you examine your hands, the more detailed and vivid your LD will be. Then you can look up and enjoy your lucid. The second you feel things starting to fade or go fuzzy....stop. Do it again. Hold out the palms of your hands, examine all the little wrinkles and details about them and say again "stabilize lucidity now"...it should keep the dream from fading out.

Now...onto your question. Haha. There are several ways you can leave a building. Some buildings are harder than others. Some are like prisons. But usually just find the front door...windows work the best. If you can't fuse through the window...shatter it and fly out. If you can't find a window or an exit door...try standing in front of any closed door and imagine the outside on the other side. It can work if you believe it. If all else fails....try dream spinning...spinning around in circles until a new dreamscape forms around you. Good luck

      Yeah, thanks!
I knew you had calm down when you are entering a lucid dream but didn't know you really had to get it all Lucid....
I hope I'll manage to sort of handle my next one...

PS: I've started talkin' about LDs to my classmates and they sort of get interested in it....but don't really get what it's alll about (no misunderstandings : I'm not pretending I do...) and some even tell me 'cmon stop all that fuss....' and I tell them : 'and you're just pretending you're living all you could have lived.....damn'

PPS: I don't think (from the short experience I've had) that tryinig to go to sleep thinking of dreams (for beginners) is very effective : you get tired and fed up waiting awake, have poor dreams, and feel unsatisfied the next morning..... The 2-3 LDs I've recently had happened after going to sleep while listening to music and excpecting only to sleep.....

Actually I wouldnt close me eyes if I were you, cuzz you could wake up. Whenever I close mine ,I always wake up. But walking through walls always works.

a couple of years ago I always felt trapped in a building during several of my dreams. at that time I wasnt very good with dream control, and since you sound like youre still starting out I dont know how good your dream control is. one thing that helped me was to get pissed! And I got so pissed I tore apart the roof from the wall. freedom!

since then buildings havent been a problem!

I think there are two kinds of dream control, logical and exotic maybe. An exotic way of getting out of a building is exactly what you were attempting to do, summoning yourself out. Another would be transforming the place. Another could be having super hero powers and melting the walls. I think even imagining another place behind a door can be a bit exotic as well.

But, I was personally a slow learner. Years ago I just didnt think to do ANYTHING when I was lucid. Of course, I wasnt apart of a website like this to help me realize that I could! But anyhoot, if you are finding difficulty doing more exotic things to get out of a building there are much more dream logical ways.

What I concider a logical way would be using something that the dream has already provided you. You can use any opening for an example to get out. Keyholes, vents, pipes, doors, windows. And you can use what you know about the building you are in. If you are in a HUGE generic-public building, like a mall or an airport, or a dream mall-airport. Sometimes finding a simple way out, like a door or a window is hard. Try looking. . UP. A lot of huge generic buildings have pretty glass domes up above, and then you can fly out of it. Or go around a corner and expect an Fire Exit to be there, why not? A fire exit in a huge building makes sense right?

Lets say you are in an underground laboratory and there are no windows naturally. Find a door, imagine that behind it is a secret room. And in that secret room is a door with a staircase behind that leads outside. There are all sorts of 'logical' ways to get out of building incase you happen to forget to try an exotic way.

I do however suggest learning that you can walk through walls, cielings and even floors. That or teleporting, both skills will ensure you can get out of any sticky situation. I do not suggest closing your eyes. Some people find they do wake up when they do this, try at when you are more comfortable with lucid dreaming. Also becareful about shouting commands, if you arent imagining something behind the command the dream has to imagine it for you, and you are sacraficing control.

Its like shouting LIGHTNING to perform a lightning attack. But if you imagine nothing as you say it, what do you think will happen?? Sometimes..nothing..othertimes the lightning will do whatever it wants to do! Now imagine if you imagined tremendous energy in a cloud, and that the energy is connected to you and will strike at your command, and where you invision it going. What do you think will happen when you command LIGHTNING this time? hell yes it better strike! So remember this next time when you do verbal commands, it helps a whole lot to invision something behind those words.

      happy lucid dreaming!
