This shit happens to me aaaaaallll the time. It's cool every now and then, but it gets annoying.
Usually, when I'm doing anything like dancing in a dream, or sometimes when trying acrobatics, I'll start hovering uncontrollably. It takes a few seconds of focus to make me hit the ground again. I'd say the best thing to do, if you are already in the air and want to land, is look down at the ground and just imagine yourself suddenly walking on it. Don't think about anything else but how it would feel to be, that instant, walking on the surface that you were looking at. It should bring you down.
