Thumbs up

Well in some of my lucids, I have trouble summoning things, especially people.

While I was bored at school, I thought about lucid dreaming, and had the idea of remembering where the thing/person was other than expecting them to be there.

So for example.

You're lost in a forest looking for a magical key that will help you unlock the magic voodoo door.

Instead of saying "I expect the key to be in my pocket"
How well would it work if you said, "Hey! I remember where the key was! It was in my pocket the whole time!"
And then reach in and grab it.

Ummm.... That still wouldn probobly work, so whatta about thinking it?Its actually pretty hard to
summon things, and even if u summon something, Chances are it's goin to be somthing totally
different.

Summoning isn't hard at all. LD'ing is based solely on confidence and expectations. If you've got such a pessimistic outlook, you obviously won't get far.

That should work. But wouldn't that be expecting too?
The only measurable difference between the dream world and the regular one is whether the laws of "nature" are consistent in identical experiments.

Yeah, I've found expecting to be best way to summon things. It's best to summon something where you're not looking, then turn expecting to see it. I've never been able to make something appear directly in my hands.

Expecting works for me. Except sometimes it takes me a few tries efore I actually get it to be the right thing.*pulls tennis racket, rubber chicken and flashlight out of pocket*
