I realize I'm dreaming, but forget to take control

Here is my problem: I had a wonderful, very detailed dream this morning (WBTB), and I realized that it was a dream and I thoroughly enjoyed it because the scenery was fantastic. However I wanted to slap myself this morning for not taking control. I realized that I was dreaming, so it kind of was a LD, but it didn't cross my mind that I could seize the occasion to influence the dream. I just let myself flow with the current if I may say.
Does it happen to you, and how do you do to remember to take control?
I know it can be good to just let go at times, but I don't have that many LDs so I'd like to be able to have more control!

Sometimes, those are the best! Dreams are always surprising, but conciously going with the flow can be an enlightening experience.

In many of my lucids, I start out very lucid, and then the lucidity wanes as the dream continues, (ultimately ending in a break in the dream or a false awakening). Perhaps this 'lucid decline' is what you're experiencing? I say next time you should try to become even more lucid. Rub your hands together and do a couple extra reality checks. That should wake up the logical part of your mind a bit more.

Yes,this happens to me quite frequently
I realize that this cannot be true,so its a dream
But at times,i am enjoying the dream so much,I dont think that i can take control. I make the dream go in a certain direction initially and then let myself go with the flow.
Its very enjoyable, but after waking up I think it could have been better.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them...well, I have others.

      JUST D'OH IT!!!!

I remember recently I had a dream that I couldn't remember all that well, just that I thought "Hey, I'm dreaming!" and I think a DC said "do some stuff for the journal!" and I just went with it. I think I forgot I was dreaming.

Lol. In that case I'd rather go on hiking in the woods like I did. Dream sex everytime? Is there a position you haven't tried yet?

That's not called 'taking control.' That's called giving into your impulses, which is quite the opposite to control. UNLESS you've experienced it all, and u find all u want is teh sex. Then i can understand.

NOTE: I'm not saying you are a bad person, I would probablly be the same, unless ofcause I never learnt to control it.

Yep...sometimes I become lucid, and the second the idea of sex comes to mind...it's finished: the whole dream is an orgy.....so now I try to think of something else, even if lucid sex is pleasant.
ABout going on with the dream: I'd like to do that lucid....just chilling...
