I found a new way for control last night--rhymes!

Last night, I had a regular dream in which I was a genie, or a djinn, whichever. I was with my family and we were in this survival game. I was the only one who could do magic, and I kept conjuring stuff up with rhymes, or making things happen. Lets say, I wanted a big purple bed:

Ontop of these leaves, brown and red
Will appear a big purple bed!

I would just say that and it would appear. It would also work for changing things. Let's say I wanted to turn a rock into an apple:

Instead of a rock, hard and dead
Make this an apple, shiny and red!

It worked perfectly for me in the dream, and since I know it works, i think I would be able to use it in an LD. You can also change a theme of a room. Let's say that the bedroom theme was princess, and you wanted it modern and cool.

Make this bedroom modern and cool,
Instead of princesses, whom in this bedroom rule.

I think this method would work great, as it did for me. I am going to try it out the next time I LD. I am pretty sure it would work though, as long as you can rhyme. =D

This worked probably because you expected it to work. It's all in expectation. It's probably a very good technique, as one would expect it to work easily.

It works because you believe it will... all dream control is like that. Some people can poof stuff around, change it before their eyes, some people have to create a method to do this. You seem to have found yours, so congratulations!

From now on I don't have to rhyme
I don't need to, I'll use my mind

lol, like i said, you would probably have to be able to ryme. I know i can. Im just saying, this may work for some people. Like you said, since i already expect it to work, it probably will. I hope that I get a lucid dream soon, so I will be able to try it out in an LD instead of a regular dream.

Congratulations on finding something that helps you with control!

I appreciate your sharing this method as I know alot of members have difficulty controlling their dreams and this might work for others as well.
