      Dream World

I thought about something... What if you created your own dream fantasy world... Then you could live in a fantasy world, and be what you want... I guess that you have had a long chat about this but please answer me... I want to know if you wanted to be born to a village, to grow up, to see your village destroyed, to become a wandering warrior etc.

you mean like creating a world that isn't just in your subconcious, but a real alternate world? well if you did somehow create an alternate fantasy world that truly existed (which i'm pretty sure isn't likely )how would you know if it was still your own fantasy world that you created or just your dreamworld inside your subconcious? After all... it could be HUGE. So if you were in a place that looked completely different than the last area you were in when you were lucid, you could still just as easily be in your made up fantasy world, just in a different area. or you could be in the normal dreaming world.

btw this is all hypothetical... I'm just saying this as if creating an alternate world in your mind without it just being your subconcious creating images was possible.

but who knows. it could be. there's really no way of knowing is there?

Nonono... This is what I mean... I mean't if you created a world in your subconcious mind and made it stay there... So that you could return to there in lucids... You could draw a world map and plan the world to every detail... Even the laws of physic and magic... And you would not even have to plan everything, you could just leave some pieces for mind to make... Like chemical reactions and such... Yeah, I know that this is intense, but try to keep up.

The most important point, that I want to bring out, is that you create a part (or everything in) of that world... In "real" world... And let the subconciousness fill in the details... If you do not want to plan 'em...

I heard of some person that made the time go slower while he was in a LD and I do believe that he was in the dream for about 2 years or something like that. So I'm guessing with some training, you can be able to live an eternity in your dream if you really want to.
      Skill comes with practice.

It really sounds cool to live through an entire life in your dreams. I'm gonna try that as soon as I can become lucid and control my surroundings. Wonder how long that's gonna take... Oh well, it'll come in time.

This reminds me of a topic being discussed in conjunction with the Tasks of the Month. Some people were suggesting doing something like a Task of the Year, where you have an ongoing goal of building a world you can return to every time you are lucid.

It sounds like an incredible goal to me. How would you go about doing it? I would try to create the world while awake through artwork, maps, and your imagination. Then try to incubate the world to visit while you dream.

That's about the same I had in mind... But I had a bit more than just that... I thought that 'cause it's a different world, it has to have different metals, different kind of soil, maybe more than 1 moon, Elves, Dwarves... And I planned to draw and think about it in "real" world... Then I would - as you say- incubate that world little by little in my dreams... And I'm sure that when I'm there, I'll have longer lucids too... Of course, practice makes a master... So I gotta remember basics.
By the way, I got my map here: http://embaros.mm.pl/garfika/mapa_e.jpg

I do believe the great BillyBob greatest goal was to make a dream he could always come back too. be one person in a crowd, fight along side the guy in the hobbit and keep going back were he left off. He never said if he made it though....

here is a software version tutorial for exactly what you are looking for, it's called Paradiso; It's function is to create a dreamscape( your dreamworld) and incubate it before sleep so that you dream about it when you go to sleep. When you set up your dreamscape he gives you tips on how to set it up to enhance your opportunity of becoming lucid. The author also has a few other software based tutorials on that forum.

I know exactly what you mean! I have been trying something like this for a long time, unfortunately I have very few lucid dreams. I have the whole world planned out, and the laws etc. (Been working on it for months, even before my first LD lol) I think that this is totaly possible, and I can't wait to succede in having my first full "day" in my new world. (Not telling you the name of it. )

EDIT: Holy CRAP that map is amazing Ghaerdon!!!

That map is not mine, I found it on the net... But looks good, i give it that. And I am going to add many elements to it... Oh, and Insanekid... This was my dream in the very beginning(to make a fantasy world)... It is so nice to be able to meet someone who has a same goal as I have... Good luck... Thanks for the Paradise...

I already got my own dreamscape mapped out, it's awesome just visualizing being there. I can't imagine now how it will be when I can be there lucid!

      Thanks alot again!

That guy who made the software has about 4 other programs directed toward lucid dreaming. If you look around on that other forum i'm sure you'll find them.
