Thread: Lieing to yourself to get more control?

Last night I had a very long and vivid lucid dream, with perhaps the best dream control I've ever had. Some DC's were attacking me, and I decided to Kamehameha one of them, but half way through the motion, I've got nothing. While my arms are still behind me, I think "Wow, I can feel the energy building up in my hands," when I really felt nothing of the sort. A moment later however, I really did feel the energy and successfully Kamehamehad a DC.

After that, my control was spot on. I shot webs like Spider-Man, made myself freakishly ripped and beat the crap out of more DC's trying to attack me, in very theatric ways.

So, does anyone else "lie" to themselves to get better control?

Sweet! I haven't been able to pull off a Kamehameha wave yet.

I don't usually lie to myself while lucid, but if it will help my firepower, I might as well give it a shot.

I have tried but it hasn't worked for me. Once I wanted to summon a person from another dream I had to fight. I was in a basement. I wanted him to come crashing through the wall but it didn't work. So I made the wall crashing sound with my mouth seeing if it would actually break open. I thought that if I heard the sound, I might think it worked. I just stood there making weird noises and felt stupid.
