      Wake Up From Nightmare FAs?

Last night I spent about 30 minutes in a chain of slightly nightmarish FAs. I could not see properly, nor could I move. I just heard yelling and felt the world spinning. It was like SP, but I knew it was fake because I woke up at the end, and it was morning (FAs placed it in the dead of night) I tried to "WILD" my way out at first, because I thought I was really in SP. Then I realized SP didn't last for 30 minutes, so it couldn't possibly be real. So I just frantically tried to move. It felt like I was being restrained. How do I wake up from this?

Well, I usually wake up from nightmares by actually opening my eyes. It's hard to explain, but if you know you want to wake up, you have to try to open your real eyes from inside the dream. It usually takes me a few tries, but it works. In the dream, close your eyes and try to feel your real body. Then try to open your real eyes, just force them to open. Your eyelids will feel like they're paralyzed, but when I try, I can usually wake up within 20 seconds. I hope this helps, because it could be just me.

I tried that. I just saw this horrific... Thing. It was like a giant tetrahedron, and looking at it made me want to scream as loudly as I could.

Hm, happened to me before, your in your bed and all, but can't move, not SP, not even real but can't control it, when it happens is when I move and hit my sister so she wakes me lol
Either that or kick the nightmare away with some power, tough it is so boring and hard, it will only chain me to tons of more FA before truly waking, so hitting is easier <.<

I tried to force it to end by sheer adrenalin. It made me feel like I was on fire. It woke me up into another FA though. I did an RC and became lucid though!

funny enough I have the easiest time waking up from a nightmare by having the worst part of it happen to me. like...having the killer find me in my house and finish me. heh, it tends to wake me right up strangely enough.

I get this a few times a week during naps. Constant strains of FA nightmares, it's like I get up in my bed (FA), and think it's real, and my vision is blurry and crazy stuff is happening and I don't know what's going on. And then I just keep waking up in my bed over and over not knowing how to get out of it. Sometimes I go lucid and try to wake myself up (and yeah the opening your eyes things works well, try to like pry them open with your fingers and open them as wide as you can you know?) usually works.
But yeah it sucks, cause I go lucid at the end almost every time and I just wake myself up and then wish I stayed in and did something cool.

I had another one, but I just imagined Coldplay coming into my room and playing their music. It made it actually kind of fun until I woke up.

I did this today! It wasn't really a nightmare because as soon as I recognized that I was dreaming I just had to push my way off my bed. It took tremendous effort and was, overall, a waste of time. But once I got out of my bed I tried to make the dream a bit better, and hilariously enough I knew I was dreaming but I attempted to turn on the light in my bedroom. It was quite funny because I completely forgot that that was a method of RC. I just wanted the light to turn on. I laughed at myself a bit.

I'm usually able to force myself awake. Even if I'm not lucid, my first instinct in a bad dream is to force my eyelids open. I can't really explain it. I just "feel" my real eyelids and take control. If I fight the urge, I become lucid.

As for FAs... I've had some freaky-ass dreams. It seems like I'm awake and in my bed, but there are dream elements about (frightening ones). I know I'm asleep, but I can't escape it. It's hard enough to even open my eyelids, and when I do it's like I'm literally being pulled back in. I try to sit up (if I'm lucky enough not to have SP) but I feel as though I'm being shoved back down.

I've had a girl with a knife standing over me and bending my fingers all the way back, a machine with a million needles jabbing into my skull, a shadow figure slowly opening my door, and even Death itself hovering over me.

It's even more horrible when I'm lucid because I feel trapped in my own mind.

I really don't have any advice for escaping FA nightmares. If it's really bad, I fight it with all I've got. If it's not actually scary (when I think about it rationally), I just stop fighting and see where it's going. I don't believe that all dreams mean something, but maybe these ones are important enough for your mind to force you to stay in it. Even if they're not important, waiting to see where it's going will make an interesting story here.

I waited out the Death dream, and surprisingly I didn't feel threatened. He seemed more like a kind, old gentleman.

When I have dreams like that, I have too scream at myself in my mind in the dream too "WAKE UP" and usually it takes no time at all..
