      Control progression

I think flying is the first thing most people try (was mine) in their first real lucid but where do you go after that. It seems everything cool above that is way out of my reach. I know certain things are alot more difficult than others so what were the first couple of "tricks" you did/places you went?

Try to fly and fail on my first lucid (At least I did not wake up like most people who first become lucid) and I remember that if you wake yourself up, you will have better recall but I wanted to do it in a fun way. I jump into a frozen lake and "die" This is a fun way to wake up and also a way to prove to my own mind that I am dreaming.

2nd lucid dream, I did a back flip off of a TV stand and float around. I wanted to wake myself up as my dream recall was (and still) bad, so I summon Freddy to kill me. (Read my sig I kinda forgot that he can kill in dreams, I was not thinking about that at the time.)

My 3rd lucid dream, I shot a fireball while flying at a giant bee that was attacking me when I was non-lucid, I shot it again with a energy blast.

Those are my only lucid dreams and I think I did pretty well when it comes to controlling my dreams for a lucid newbie.

So here a list of things you could do that I done:

-Killing yourself is something you could do, maybe experience death (and see the reaper) or drop your body and go into a ghost-like state if you don't want to wake up is always a choice.
      -Flying of course.
      -Shoot fireballs or energy balls
      -Summon monsters or DC

You could always go for the task of the month if you can't come up with a plan to do. I think that my main reason I not becoming lucid as much is that I never really have anything plan beside flying. I heard that planning ahead so you don't waste your time in your dream helps.
Noticed things in my lucid dreams: Not scare of death (kinda forgotten Freddy special power of killing in dreams, opps?) Huge ego which cause me to summon monsters, most DC are useless and don't even speak.

Out of your reach? If you want to do something bad enough, that is what puts it in your reach, especially in lucid dreams. You just have to be more sure of your goals.

That true. What the difference between lucid dreaming with experience and without experience? The only real difference is that you believe in yourself more and may be more focus about it.

Could going through something in waking life over and over help? I mean if you just went over it in your head thousands of times youd know exactlly what to do and be more prepared....right?

That could help. It help in my case as often my lucid dreams seem to be more like me controlling a dream body then acting like myself. It sometimes seem like I have to suggest m body to do something to do it. Kinda hard to explain. My dream self is only a puppet for me to control but if I don't know what to do then I can only go around randomly til I wake up.

I starting to have lucid dreams where I seem to be able to feel the body and control it at will as if it my real body. I still have no plans so I would most likely become lucid just to fly around some more.

my first lucid I had summoned an object, increased vividness of dream and had used projectiles (control over fireworks off in the distance). I also created the dream scene because it was a WILD.
