Writing "i am dreaming" while lucid.

I had a dream recently where i became lucid, i had the urge to go flying but instead thought that i would try and prolong my lucidity by hanging on to the thought "i am dreaming" by writing it down on paper. Since i was in a bank at the time it was easy to find some paper and a pen .. when i started to write with the pen it didnt work.. so i found a pencil and managed to write "i am dreaming" on the piece of paper. With my reminder in hand i thought i would then go for a fly and went out to the balcony of the bank which overlooked the ocean. i went to look for my piece of paper but i had lost it. So i thought i should write more messages and got another piece of paper and was going to write it out ten times or so ... cant exactly remember the exact number of times ... Too save time i wrote "i" at the beginning of each message however when i got back to write "am" the whole paper morphed and there were like cartoons and stuff on it. i broke these bits off and proceeded to work with what was left and all the pieces changed form into pieces of meat and i woke up feeling a bit frustrated... the task was not as simple as it seemed! lol.

I was wondering if anyone else had written down that they were dreaming while lucid. I think next time i will skip the paper and write it on my hand.
I have done it in real life so hopefully when i look at my dream hand the message "i am dreaming " will still be there!

Of course there's plenty of better things to do while lucid ... just thought i'd try something different.... and share this with you all.

      Hi to you all ...

You know, if you try and read something while dreaming, it's just going to morph. It's actually a reality check to read something, look away, then look back and see that it's different.

I wouldn't recommend doing this anymore since your attempts would probably be futile. xD

If I became lucid, the only thing I would probably do before trying to fly is stabilize the dream to make it last a bit longer.

But good luck in your endeavors.

This is a false statement, you can read a text and not make it morph, it's all about control over your dream and surroundings. But sure it's said that you can't look at the time and it wont be the same or it's all random everytime you check. This as well is a controlcheck, so you can't generalise this because it happens to you. After all it's just a dream and everythin can happen.
      Lucid, my way of life.

I think I once did while using the comp, not exactly "I'm dreaming" though, was trying to convince someone that I was asleep, it was fun. Especially since he would not believe me until I used supperpowers lol

      And congratulations on your lucid.

I can remember maybe once that my paper changed. its as solid and real (the writing on it) as real life.

its all about sub expectations.. what your mind expects to happen..
