      I just never do anything

I have had fifteen lucids, three were in my recent recall drought which could account for the lack of length.

But anyways, in my lucid dreams, I always come to a problem. I never do anything! I never think to do anything! I never try to do anything! I can only remember one dream, made lucid by a lack of logic, where I even thought about an action (flying) and I failed. In that dream I also tried the door trick for my DG, and lost lucidity. And since then I never even think about control. I just realize I'm dreaming, and go back to dreaming. Is there a way around this? Preferably through MILD, because I can't WILD yet.

Just keep trying. Constantly remind yourself that you're dreaming so you don't lose your lucidity. Also, if you're trying to MILD, a mantra stating your intent of what you will do when you become lucid might help you remember to try things.

Dude, I know EXACTLY what you mean, in fact I'm very glad you've made this thread, because I've been struggling with he same problem myself. I have a wealth of cool ideas when I'm awake, but when I'm lucid I just don't do any of them. I know what you mean, about getting sucked back into the dream, It seems like I always at least slightly involve myself in the dream scenario, like instead of just ignoring DCs I was just doing someting with I'll try to brush them off or make some excuse for them, and on a similar note I find I lose lucidity at the slightest distraction. What's more is that it only seems
to have been worsening lately. I was seriously thinking of making a thread about it myself, because frankly I just don't know what to do.

Yea, recently I've stopped stabilizing it with the hand trick, but now I keep finding myself saying "I don't need to stabilize if I focus" to myself and keep saying that until I lose lucidity. It used to be just not thinking about it, but now it's come to wasting my time almost.

This is how i dream normally. It's like: "Whoa cool, i'm dreaming... i wonder what it is about" and i just follow the original dream script. Kinda lame huh.

This sounds similar to what happens to me. I become lucid, try to do something, fail, then (unintentionaly) going with the dream senario 'till I wake up. Is there anything I can use to keep me in, and control it? I read one about a cell phone, but I don't have one.
If you think you can do it, you can't. Know you can do it.

Ugh. It seems a lot of people have this problem. Well, I do some small weird stuff in all my lucid dreams, but most of the time, it just really sucks because I waist a lucid on on something really stupid . Well, I've been getting better as I go along, so all the advice I can give is practice.

I have this problem too every once in a while. I just completely forget about any of the lucid goals I've set for myself and go along with whatever is happening. Sometimes I choose to do this and just explore my dream. But when I actually have a goal that I've been trying to achieve, it can be frustrating.

What I suggest though is before you go to sleep or when you wake up in the middle of the night, you should tell yourself over and over as you fall asleep what goals you would like to accomplish inside of your dream. The few times I've tried this, I ended up remembering and accomplishing or trying to accomplish my goal.

Here's what I do when I get this problem: Since I'm an airbrush artist, I have a few bottles of two-week tattoo paint. Keep in mind that I use reality checks, so this may not work as well for you if you don't. I spray my arm with some sort of VERY brief message or symbol that will remind me of what I want to do. Then, whenever I do a reality check, I check my arm. That way, once my brain becomes used to it being there, I'll see it in my dream and realize what I wanted to do. Writing down in your dream journal what you wish you had done and how you would have done it while you are recalling your dreams helps too. Good luck!
