Last Nights Dream : Watching Survivor And Recalling The Dream

Last night I had a dream where I was sitting in my families downstairs living room watching TV with my mom. In the living room, the TV was at an angle in the far corner of the wall between the front wall and the fireplace. If you can imagine this, it creates a bit of a small triangle spot in back of the TV. In the dream I was putting in a VHS tape. When I played the tape, it was a recorded episode of the popular TV show Survivor. In the episode, contestant Rupert (who has been on Survivor 3 or 4 times now) was sitting on a big log talking to contestant Johnny Fairplay (who has been on the show twice before) (who was also sitting on the log). The two of them start talking about a wrestler by the name of Johnny J who had a last name that I cant remember. After the conversation Rupert was pissed. He walked away. All this time the picture was distorted. You know when you are watching TV without an areal, where the picture is bad but its because of a bunch of fuzzy white dots? Thats how the picture was. However, after this scene the picture cleared up by itself. In clearing, you saw the normal white lines you would see just as if you were actually moving an areal to get a clearer picture. When the picture cleared up I saw on the bottom right hand corner of the screen in full color the NBC peacock sign and the olympic logo under it. In reality NBC has this during shows, but while a show is going its in gray. Also so you guys know, Survivor is broadcast on CBS and not NBC. At this point in the show everyone is saying how Rupert is complaining and that they need to vote him off (I dont remember what the others looked like). In return there was a confessional with Rupert where he says that he wants to get rid of Rudy. Suddenly a picture of Rudy appears on the screen. Hes a tanned guy in his 60s, in a dark blue shirt, and somehow I knew that he was an ex marine. I later checked the CBS website when I woke up in the morning and saw that there was a contestant named Rudy who looks very similar, but not exact to the guy I saw in the dream. At this point my mom asks me why we are watching this considering we have already seen it. In response I fast forward. As I fast forward I see that after the episode was another episode of Survivor. I didnt even stop fast forwarding, but instead let it go until the end of the episode. As Im watching it fast forward (the tape was playing as we were fast forwarding). Suddenly, not aware of if the episode was over, I press play and see that its cutting into the beginning of a movie. As the movie starts the first line was from a sports caster lady saying (but not appearing on the screen seeing as though it was still the black screen with opening credits) "the second place team now has a chance to be the first place team". Immediately I tell my mom without looking away from the TV that this is the movie Any Given Sunday. My mom was shocked to see that I was able to recall the movie so quickly. Next you see a bunch of football players run on the field to start a game. They are in red jerseys with white letters and white helmets with a red stripe through the middle. Out of nowhere the dream puts me in my old upstairs bedroom at my family summer home. Its night time and I get out of bed and walk to the bedroom doorway. As I do I can hear my parents watching TV in my grandfathers old bedroom. But also I was suddenly reminded of the name Valentino T (again there was a last name, but I cant remember). I was also reminded of another name that had the middle initial of S. At this point I woke up, but in a strange way the dream wasnt over. Usually when I wake up I go over the dream in my head so that I can tell it to people later in the day. When I woke up I was most worried about remembering the full names of people. I remembered it all, but fell back asleep. When I went back into dream land I was sitting on the same spot on the living room floor. Everything looked exactly the same including where the TV was. Except in this dream I was telling my mom about the dream that I just had, which to my knowledge was word for word what actually happened in the dream. Somewhere in there my dad walked up and said he had to go pick something up. But as I was telling my mom about the Survivor stuff she starts saying something along the lines of "you know you can get those on DVD now". After that she said that there is even a way that I can make my own DVD of individual episodes. This is when I woke up. feelings and perception : I cant say that I remember feeling anything in the dream. However, when I was watching TV my vision was as if I was watching the events unfold, rather than realizing that Im watching TV. The whole time I never took my eyes off the screen. I dont know if that matters seeing as though every dream I have that Im watching TV the same thing happens. Life Ques : Both me and my mom do watch Survivor. We did watch the seasons with Rupert and while I know I watched the season with Rudy, I still dont remember him. However, I have not seen an episode new or old since the last season ended in May. I dont think I have even seen a preview for the next season. The first time Rupert was on I was a fan, but each other time I was not. I was not a fan of Johnny Fairplay who oddly enough was the villain on Ruperts first season. Im 26, still live at home, and my parents are together. We still have the summer home, but I havent been there in a good 2 years. The room in the dream is still the room I would be sleeping in. The room my grandfather slept in is the room my dad sleeps in now. My mom hasnt been there in a good 2 years either. The TV never was where it was in the dreams. Also, I have seen the movie Any Given Sunday, but that was years ago when it came out. What else do you need to know?
