a very strange dream
I remember walking through a dungeon like place
full of people. no sounds, and everyone seemed to have this content-like nothingness in their eyes.
I knew as I was being led to a cage that I was going to stay there until I die.
But the cage was full of water and a couple of naked women beckoning me in
I wasn't afraid, but knew I was going to die by slowly being decomposed within the water filled cage and accepted my fate
I could see myself and I looked like a royalty or upper class of late 1600's early 1700's with my face looking pale white and extremely thin.
The next thing I know, I am in a group of people. I don't see their faces or even my own. everything is seen in first person. We walk in the entrance and it almost feels like some sort of reconsance mission. A sense of righteousness as we step through, but I forget why we are even there in the first place and I get this doomed feeling.
I and this group of people are walking around in that dark place...well let me be more specific, the place wasn't completely dark, but filled with a very dim unsettling light like that of a florescent bulb...a seemingly vast place full of people soaking in tub size pools of water slowly decaying. No one seems to be dead, but their eyes all look vacant. Very disturbing as I am walking past them, many who I can see bones and muscles as pale grey flesh is bubbled and peeling away. I realize right then that I have to hurry because I remember I am there to bring somebody out.
I and this unseen group reach the person and its the cage full of water with the royal figure...me.
(Although I don't recognize myself in the dream, I later realized it after I woke up)
I am standing in front of the cage and I don't know how it was opened, but here we were almost running for the exit. It was such a fevered panic to get out of there, I sort of lost sight of the royal figure, but I knew he was safe. I get to the exit, but something doesn't feel right. Like maybe I need to go back for others, but as soon as me and the group turn around to go back, the place full of decaying people suddenly rise up and meet us at the entrance fighting us to keep us from going after whoever it was we were going back for. It got so frantic that it turned into a fight to keep ourselves from being dragged in.
I felt like I was going to win. I had no doubts, but I turned around thinking I shouldn't be going back in....then I was jolted awake
