Thread: Reburial of the dead

This was my dream last night: My grandfather was unhappy with the way my father was buried 25 years ago (typical Christian burial) and decided that he wants a funeral pyre. So he has my father's casket dug up, and calls the whole family together for a 2nd funeral... 25 years after he died! It gets stranger, because before the ceremony was complete the Fire Marshal rushes in and puts a halt to it, saying we don't have proper permits to set such a fire. Then he demands that the casket be opened, and when we do so the bones of my father are not in there. Instead there is a live dog in the casket! The dog was unfamiliar to me. Not a family pet or anything. Just a small breed of some kind. Before I could ask my grandfather what the hell was going on, I woke up. Any ideas on what this could mean would be appreciated. This dream has really disturbed me. As background: My father died when I was 5 years old, and I don't dream about it very often, it's not something I pine about or worry about much because it's pretty much an accepted part of my life.
