Thread: Dreams while waiting to take a pregnancy test

Background information: I'm 27 years old and have been married for 11 months. My husband's name is Brian. I had a very early miscarriage on September 11th and this month (March) I am waiting to take a pregnancy test to see if I am pregnant. While I can't say for sure yet, I do not believe I am pregnant. My husband is not ready for us to have a baby as he wants to wait till I finish grad school. Logically, I agree but I desperately want to have a baby.

The Dreams of March 18th: Three dreams occurred in one night, in this order.

1. I was watching a tv news clip. I saw a tall, thin white man speaking. It was the President and my husband (not my husband in real life.) He made a big political decision that his opponents did not like. At that very moment, I got word for the Secret Service that my daughter was at risk. The opposition had a plan to kidnap her and keep her hostage until the president changed his plan. I immediately drove to her school. (In waking life, I drove to my own school where I teach.) I spoke to Kristina, the administrative assistant and asked if my daughter *Jamie* had been picked up. (I changed the girls name because I actually gave the name of the only girl in my class.) She told me no, she was in class. So I asked her to please have her brought to me and we were going to hide in the school. I then told her that two men were going to come in here with offical papers stating that they could pick her up from school. I told her that this was not true and that it was an attempt to kidnap her. Kristina asked if I wanted to just take Jamie with me and leave but I told her I thought I may have been followed and that the two men were going to arrive any minute. As soon as Jamie was there we went and hid in an office. I piled pillows and blankets on top of her so that she wasn't seen through the window. I saw the men walk in to the school. I also saw them walk around the school and look for her. They looked inside my car and then left.

Mood: Very fast paced, I drove so fast to the school that it took seconds. I spoke so fast that Kristina needed to ask me things twice. My heart was racing. I felt very determined.

2. I dreamed that Brian and I were at the grocery store and we ran in to one of my students and his Dad. Then as we kept walking we saw another student and his Dad. We ran in to 3 more students with their parents. I have 7 students, we saw 5 or 6 with their parents. We only exchanged Hi's, I think I tried talking to one parent but they didn't say anything back. I was basically introducing Brian to my students.

Mood: surprised to see all the kids there but happy that Brian could meet them.

3. Our neighbors (who just had a baby) were upgrading their balcony from metal to wood. I told Brian and begged that we do it too. I said, "All we have to do is go ask the leasing office and they do it for free." Brian was very skeptical.

Mood: Excited to upgrade but disappointed by Brian.

Short Dream on March 19:
Brian and I were driving in a parking structure. As we turned a corner, the GPS began speaking. "Now arriving to meet your sons." We turned to each other and said "twins?!" Somehow in the dream, I knew without any dialogue that we were at a hospital and Lady Gaga was giving birth as our surrogate mother.

Mood: We were both excited and a little nervous about twins.
Note: We are Lady Gaga fans but not super fans or anything like that. Also, we have no known need to have a surrogate.

Short Dream on March 25:
Brian and I were in a house. A man told us to go to the first door on the right. I walked in first. I saw my ex-boyfriend standing facing me. He looked good. His wife was facing him and seated, facing him. So I saw the back of her head first. When she turned, her skin was blotchy, she had wrinkles, and thinning, wiry hair. She smiled and said nice to meet you. I introduced Brian to my ex and then my ex and I sat and caught up on life. We didn't talk about us or anything like that.

Mood: It was very nice and pleasant. The point of the event seemed to be for Brian to meet my ex and for me and my ex to catch up.

Background: My ex and I dated for 4 years and when it ended fairly amicably we stopped speaking. He got married a couple years ago and has no children. I always felt like I had no closure on that relationship.The last time I dreamed about him was many years ago. We've been broken up for 8 or 9 years.
