Have you tried thinking of happy thoughts before you go to sleep? Reading or watching humor or comedy before you go to bed? Are you on any type of medication that might affect your mood? Are you going through a troubling experience? |

I have a theme that occurs in a ton of my dreams: movie theaters. But it's not only that. Almost always, when I'm in the dream-movie-theater, I have the feeling that I'm not at the movie I came to the theater to see. Or there's something else wrong with the movie––like, I'll have the feeling that I've already seen it and don't want to see it again, or it will be too disturbing for me to watch ... There's just always something upsetting about it. And then I won't be able to leave for some reason. |

Ahh no I don't really think positive thoughts before I go to sleep ... in fact, I tend to worry about things while I'm falling asleep, so that could be a part of it. Sometimes I watch something light/funny before I go to sleep to try and put myself in a better mood, but I haven't kept track of whether that affects the recurring theme or not. Maybe I should start taking notes on that. I'm not on any medication. And I wouldn't say I'm going through anything particularly troubling, but I'm a pretty worrisome/anxious person so that may be a factor. |
