      What am I doing wrong?

After a while of attempting WILDs, I have reached the
transition into sleep paralysis once, I have experience
some really weird hypnagogics, Seen / heard some amazing
things and felt like I was spinning very fast once or twice.

recently I have not been able to get anything. All I do is get
numb and I don't get any hypnagogics or anything like the
      transition I felt before.

What am I doing wrong? I keep thinking, yeah I can do this it's
working and I'm building up to that point, but nothing ever happens
and I don't even get hypnagogics anymore...

Any help would be much appreciated.
      Thanks,
      ~Wes

I stopped Wilding, as it prevented me from remembering my dreams. I try it from time to time on the weekends, when my girlfriend is with me and I only keep my dreamjournal when I get up in the morning (because I do not want to wake her in the middle of the night). I have always failed until now due to my excitement. But as a rule of a thumb, when I do not experience the first symptoms of SP within 15minutes or so, I will not experience any SP in that try. So it is not always working, but I do not see, what I do differently in each try.

      Regards
      Lorgarn
      Come, thick night,
And pall thee in the dunnest smoke of hell,
That my keen knife see not the wound it makes,
Nor heaven peep through the blanket of the dark,
      To cry, 'Hold, hold!'

Your thinking about it to much. This may sound weird but your trying to hard. When you wild don't think about it your specifically looking for HI (or what ever.) and because if this, you can't fall a sleep and because of this you can't LD.

Let your mind wander don't look forn HI or SP just relax.
Current status: Practicing my WILD method.

      This, really.
Just think about things to keep your mind awake, but don't focus too much on getting into SP; it'll come by itself.

Yeah this is actually what I suspected. So I've decided to give up WILD for a week and come back
to it with, hopefully, a fresh and clear mind. Thanks guys.

I'm telling ya, I don't think you are doing anything wrong...I just think it is the "time" you are trying to do this. It is soooo much easier with WBTB or mid-day naps. Before sleep takes way too much effort.

I've never been able to do it WBTB though, its just so uncomfortable for no reason at all!

wake back to bed or nothing! You have no idea how much easier it will be for you. Think of it this way:

Trying before pre sleep is like Micheal Phelps trying to break the 200m individual medly record after 6 months of eating nothing but McDonalds and not swimming at all. Trying it with WBTB is Micheal Phelps on roids

I kid you not! Best of luck to you

Hmm...do you have time during the day to take naps? WILDing is pretty easy during naps as well (usually 1-6 hours after waking in the morning). You may have more success there. If you have trouble sleeping during the day, you could cut an hour or so off of your regular sleep period. That would make it easier on you. Like I've said before, its definitely not impossible to WILD before sleep, but most likely it going to be a struggle. If you get uncomfortable during a WBTB WILD...just roll over to a new position and keep going...if you get uncomfortable again, go ahead and role over again. You don't HAVE to remain completely still, that is just the usual method. All you have to do is fall asleep...often times you will hit SP immediately after you roll over to a comfortable position (in my experience). I roll over every 5-10 minutes during my WILD process. Remember, there are zero requirements when it comes to lucid dreaming, aside from falling asleep. All these techniques and methods are just that....techniques and methods. None of them are 100% and none of them work for everyone. Just keep experimenting with your WILD process and you will find something that works for you...good luck!

Yeah try in the morning or to a WBTB during sunrise (Like 6 AM or 7 depending on if it's summer or winter) I have heard that sunlight can induce lucid dreams. (One of the reasons why if you click the snooze button on your phone or what ever you usually end up remembering a very detailed vivid dream.)
