Dream about the Ocean: symbollism/interpretation question

Well, I'm usually good at interpreting my own dreams in many ways, but this one kinda got me. Plus, usually dreams about being in the ocean/sea deal with the unknown, fear, being lost etc... but there were some caveats in this dream that made me feel otherwise.

      So, without further adieu:

So, the dream opens as me and two other people (both seemed to be people I knew and trusted, but I couldn't make out any faces - one seemed to be a mentor of mine, or at least someone a bit older than me). We were all in the ocean - sitting on a rock connected to a massive cliff (probably an island - but it was a cliff side, so there was no sand/beach in sight - we were just in the middle of the ocean leaning against a cliff). *The rock was under water btw, but it was tall enough that we could sit on it and be covered with water up to about our chests - like a ledge under water* The water was extremely clear - you could see for miles. I seemed to be the most confident in the group, even though one of the friends I was with was a mentor/older friend. (I am a swimmer and have always felt confident in the ocean).

But now it gets tricky - a big fish starts swimming towards us. It's definitely not a shark, but we all freak out for some reason. And instead of staying on our rock (where the fish probably would not have been able to reach us, we dive into the water and start swimming away - I take the lead. Soon after, we look back and the fish is gone, but when I turn around again, there is a massive amount of jellyfish all around us. Now we all start freaking out. We turn back to swim to our rock. I dodge a few jellies, but swim right into one massive one. Since I'm dreaming I obviously don't feel the sting - I wait for a few seconds expecting to feel something, and then I immediately wake up.

So, the odd things here are - the fact that the water is extremely clear and anything 'unknown' presents itself to us in the dream - we know what we are running into. The waters were calm as well. Even the big fish wasn't a huge threat. The jellyfish were what freaked me out in the dream.

Any interpretations are welcome! Thanks for reading!
