Interesting dream - wish it was real life?

It was weird... I don't remember much but I remember feeling very content after having it.

I was at my house when a group of people came to the door. They told me that I was to come with them, and they were a group of some sort (perhaps a group of superheroes) who fought other groups of superheros. They told me to take all of my stuff and I wondered what my parents will think while I am away. They 'froze' all the live vegetation around my house for some reason, it had to do with the fact that they were there to protect me from another group who were trying to get to me. There was an old 'wise' guy, part of the group, a few girls, and some people, but there was one guy who stood out. He was sort of muscly and seemed like a genuine hero, of sorts.

Anyway, after clearing out all my house we left just in the nick of time. The other superhero(?) group were hot on our trails. Two of the guys held back to fight off the other group while I was kept safe by the rest of the group. (The dream reminded me of a movie - but I don't know which one). The whole group was focused around me, trying to keep me safe and 'induct' me as part of their group. After the mini-fight between the two groups, we made it back to a base.

We went out to get food (this was sort of set in a forest), and had an encounter with several other superhero(?) groups on the way. We fought with the other groups but made it out ok and got back to base.

I feel that I was supposed to be trained up to be a superhero like the rest of the group. After having this dream, I felt sad and unhappy that I didn't possess these kinds of 'friends' in real life and I didn't have superpowers or was strong like in the dream. I kind of wish my reality was like this dream.

You know you could learn to lucid dream, and then choose to have dreams of being a superhero more often. I wonder whether this dream was caused by you thinking that you and your life are not special enough: you are not a superhero, don't have such friends, are not the center of attention with others focused to keep you safe. However, you might want to think about it in a different way: you are special in your waking life as well (everyone is) and you have the potential to become even more special; if you don't like your waking reality now, you can change it someday (maybe not right now, maybe you need to watch out for an opportunity for change for the better, but that opportunity will come); you do have people whose focus is to keep you safe (your parents), and if you do not have enough cool friends, try to make new friends (consider approaching ones you may not have thought of making your friends on first glance - they may surprise you into being cooler friends than you initially expected).

Perhaps you watched a movie the night before you had this dream..? The new Iron Man is out, so maybe you watched that? The scene reminds me of Harry Potter 7 pt1, when the Aura's were protecting Harry from the Death Eaters to take him back to the burrow. Sorry, kinda geeked out there.

Anyway, perhaps the heroes coming to your house is telling you that you are in need of a hero yourself, or that you feel you need a exciting thing to happen in your life to just "bring trouble to your front door." You may admire people in your life who are your heroes of sorts; extraordinary people who do things you feel you can't do. The fact they fight other "heroes" (I'll call them super villains) means that you have a need to conquer a dark side in your life, perhaps. When things get tough some people give up, but the heroes don't. By freezing the vegetation this means that maybe it's time to stop hanging on the sidelines. In other words "stop veg'n out). The wise man represents wisdom: perhaps you are seeking, or desire, wisdom or direction in your life. The hero who stood out was the one you admired - the person that you want to be like in your life. The villains were trying to get you because they may represent the temptations or struggles in your life you feel you are about to give into - it takes a hero to stand up to them.

After the chase, the two heroes falling back represents a need for sacrifice: it takes give before you can take what you want. The heroes protecting you may represent that you need supernatural protection in real life at the moment, for whatever reason. When you made it to the base, this means that in order to achieve your goal you need to find sanctuary and knowledge. For example, if you want to work out to get a nice body, you have to go to a gym were you can work out and ask for help. If you wanted to be a scientist you have to go to college and study. Etc. Going to the forest and eating means you are celebrating your achievements, and facing more villains means you will never stop facing opposition no matter where you are in life, but you'll be able to hold your own once you've mastered yourself.

Of course there are other ways to interpret this dream.

Indeed, it is reminiscent of Harry Potter 7, haha. Perhaps The Hunger Games also...

I find some of both interpretation ideas valid, in that I am somewhat 'lazy' and should really ultimately try harder in my life. I just felt like sharing this dream, seeing as it was one of the rare few that I remembered. I guess I feel like I wish life was simpler, just like that - where you have to fight for survival and not worry about money, jobs, education, political matters, etc. That's what I got out of the dream...

Anyway, I've been inspired to try to learn to lucid dream. It seems unimaginably cool and like something I want to set my mind to at the moment. I'll try and start a thread in the relevant section about it.

      Thanks guys!
