walking the fence: a greyhound bus station

so here is another dream i had, up for interpretation:

I am standing on a chainlink fence, bordering a 12 foot tall wooden fence. So as I walk, balancing on the chain fence, my hand is holding onto the top of the wooden fence, keeping me up. I continue walking for a distance and all a sudden there are other people on the fence with me. I parden myself and maneuver my way around them, without getting off the fence (there is no other scenery).. more and more people appear and i keep walking around them, but they start to look familiar. i say "you're the same people". About every 10 people are the same person..then every 8 people..then every 5 people. I look to the person beside me on the fence and look behind me, and see that they are the same person. I get VERY scared. and i keep saying "you're the same people" "you're the same people" and then i start running.. scared, but still holding onto the fence.. finally i get to the end..there are no more people and i jump down to the dirt ground..i look up and i feel like i am at the same place where i had gotten on the fence. I turn away from the fence and start walking. I realize i am at a bus station, with many buses coming and going, but i just walk across the lot and across the circle median, away from the buses.

and i wake up..

Being on the fence is an idiom meaning being undecided about something.

Being at a greyhound bus station suggests a long journey: now the journey could be a journey of the mind, a spiritual journey, a symbolic journey, like as in the idiomatic phrases "you have come a long way" or "still got a long way to go". Although the walking on the fence may be moving along on a predetermined course and not being able to choose your own way, whereas getting off the fence may give you more options.

People being the same people could be the loss of individuality, being lost in a crowd, being part of an organization or society where one is just one of many pegs in the wheel, not being valued for who one is, being seen as your title/position and not for who you really are.

Does any of that ring any bell for anything that is going on in your life? If not, maybe you could tell us a bit about what is going on in your life, and it may then be easier to see how this might tie in to that.

I have recently been working on my own individuality, and making my own decisions.. For a while I was caught up in an addiction to opiates. I have been completely clean for about a month now, so a journey would make a lot of sense. Especially spiritually speaking. I have become more interested in finding what i believe in, and getting back to being my old self..
