I heard my self whinning but i couldnt wake up or move. My girl friend then held me cause i woke her up with my cry. i snapped out of it and woke up.. she held me as i fell back asleep. But as soon as i startede drifting of my ears started ringing and they got louder and louder. and i saw "help me" in my vision. This sound along with what i saw scared the crap out of me and i woke up with a horrible feeling something had happend to my ex girl friend. I then went to the living room to get my phone just in case someone did try to get ahold of me, but nothing. no missed calls or text and when i lit up my screen it was 3:00 AM exactly. i then went to lay back down and eventually falling back asleep an hour later with no dreams....please help me intrpret this dream....

This sounds like an anxiety dream to me. What are you anxious/stressed about now? Since in the dream it is your ex-girlfriend perhaps your anxiety has something to do with your past or your memories of her?
You may say I'm a dreamer.

mmm....the only thing that haunts me in the back of my head would be that i end up leaving my current girlfriend. I have really bad commitment issues, and me and my new girl are getting more serious.. going on 5 months which may not seem like a long time but for me it is. my last relationship only lasted 7 months. however, in my current realtionship i do want to stay with her and make it last for years. with her i would like to actually stick through my issues and stay committed and really find what love it with her....what do you think?

Well, one possibility is that since you have commitment issues, and are worried about leaving current girlfriend and you feel like you have been with her for a long time for you, maybe this dream of your ex in trouble is kind of a memory of your commitment issue and anxiety over it, and also it could be the part of your mind that has commitment issues thinking back to your ex as opposed to your current girlfriend? One possible mistake in my opinion would be if following this dream you were to follow up with your ex and let's say you found out that she does have some issues (a lot of people have issues so it could be a coincidence that maybe she does); however, that could lead to you taking an interest in your ex which could cause issues between your current girlfriend and you - current significant others generally are not comfortable with renewed interest in ex. So if I were you, I would refrain from trying to contact the ex after such a dream if you want to not cause trouble with current gf.
