Question Selling a House on night - Buying a house the next night - theme to dreams

This will be a long post, as I am covering two dreams (had one night after the other).
The first dream - in real life I live in the same residential area as my family home (I bought a house with my husband about 3 years ago, just around the corner from where I grew up, and my family still lives in the family home, (my Dad passed away 5.5years ago, but my mother, siblings and nephew all still live there) so we are neighbours, only a 2min walk apart).
In my dream, everyone in the neighbourhood was offered a couple of million to sell their houses, as it was established that there was gold underneath the area. Some neighbours were offered more or less than others, it depended on how they bargained, and the size of the property and garden. I was offered 2million and didn't even need to think about it, I had no problem selling my home. When it came to the family home though, even though I knew the money would mean a brand new beginning and a new way of life for my mother, I really didn't want her to sell. I felt frantic and was saying things like ' what if we didn't sell and just dug up our own garden and just sold the gold we found, would we not still be rich then anyhow, but at least we'd get to keep the house!' I was coming up with all sorts of alternatives, even offering to split my money with my mother for her to keep the house, but my mother said they had offered her 4 million, that there would be nothing left once they started knocking down the other houses and digging up around us, and she couldnt refuse that the money, it would mean a new life for her, my siblings and my nephew, with new, better, opportunities. She wasn't fighting or arguing with me, she was just saying it as it was.
I remember being outside the house, looking into the garden, and my old boss was with me. She is only a few years older than me, a tall woman, and a woman I have massive respect and admiration for. She was wearing a black and white symmetrical dress, and he hair was tied up. I was telling her what was happening, and I think I was kinda hoping she would offer another solution I hadn't thought of yet. We went into the house, and the nostalgia I felt was massive. Every room was so filled with memories and stories. We went to a little part of the wall where the wallpaper was coming away. My old boss pulled at the wallpaper and underneath was a line drawn in pencil with my name on it. She said 'oh look, DizzyDora was this tall in 1992'. I just start crying, saying I can't lose this house, I turned to cry into her chest, but pulled back because I didn't want to ruin her dress. She was using a soothing voice but was saying 'i know, I know, it's sad, so many memories here, it's ok to be upset'. So, even though she was being lovely, she wasn't telling me we wouldn't have to sell, she was accepting of the fact it was inevitable, and I was getting more worked up because I was starting to see that too.
      That's when I woke up.

The second dream - I dreamt of buying a house.

I was with my sister. But she was younger than she is now, maybe aged 12. The house was a good, but not out of the ordinary size, from the outside, and had a big front garden as it was a corner house.

When we went in, the decor was old fashioned ( heavy patterned carpets and wallpaper).Downstairs, Every room, bar the kitchen. Had beds (or just mattresses with bed clothing) in it. We live near a university, so we reckoned students must have been renting it, and had crammed as many in as possible to bring the rent down.

We weren't put off by this, we were more interested in the size of all the rooms, but we were curious and so we started counting the beds / mattresses to see how many people must have been living there.

We went upstairs, and the same thing - beds and mattresses crammed into all of the rooms bar the bathroom.
We went into the biggest bedroom and walked into the room. All of the beds were messy and unmade. We counted 23 beds ( across the whole house ) and as were were about to leave the room, my sister pulled at the duvet on one of the beds. There was a young guy (maybe 19 or so) still sleeping there. He slapped her away (not hard) as he had just woken with a fright. I said 'hey, that's my sister, she's only a kid, we're buying this house'. He said sorry, and was quickly waking up. He said he forgot we were coming. I asked him how many people lived in the house, he said 23, but only 3 still left and they would be going soon as it was end of term.

We left him and went back downstairs. As we go down the staircase, I look to the left, and I see a bar (pub). There is s fully stocked bar, with staff behind it, and there are tables and chairs with people sitting at them.

What the hell is this? I'm still taking in the space, and this side of the house is really spacious. I'm chatting to my sister, saying 'I wonder if they make much money from this? Would you leave it like this? Suppose it's ok cos the house is rented to students, but not sure if want a bar in my house if I was living here'. Then my mother (although she is not my mother in the dream) and her partner (no such person exists in real life), a bald man, tubby, wearing a polo shirt, join us at one of the tables. They are the home owners. The woman tells us the bar does well, it makes a few bob and there's never any trouble. She says it's only a few locals who even know about it, and it kinda ticks over by itself. The man echoes what she says, and says there's good money gone into it, but it's totally up to us what we do. I remember saying it was a good space, much bigger on the inside than I had expected. That I would think about it.
      Then I woke up.

Help me out here, two house dreams in two nights? What's going on?

The simple, very likely explanation, is that your dreamself recalled the previous night's dream.
