So, I've never been sure what this dream meant, and I had it in fourth grade, so sorry if I don't remember every detail, though it is one of the most vivid dreams I've ever had.
It started with me standing at a crowded beach with a fairly small enclosure fenced in by large logs (practically tree trunks) whittled to a point at the top; they were very menacing. I was standing next to a friend of mine who I never really knew well, but in the dream he felt incredibly close. There was what seemed to be an large, old metallic basin or funnel, somewhat similar to those penny things you may have seen at grocery stores or other places. I heard a voice that I can only relate to Emperor Palpatine's say, "Put in a quarter." I complied. (No idea where the quarter came from) It was at this point that I noticed what seemed to be a large, skull shaped structure that I somehow knew to be a temple. The voice then said, "Come and get your quarter back." I decided not to, but my friend encouraged me saying, "Go on and get your quarter." I turned to leave but found myself met by a wall, made of the same wooden logs as the rest, that most certainly had not existed previously, and I was completely alone: no crowd, no friend, just a giant skull temple and the basin in front of it. I then remember myself saying, "Might as well." It then seemed to jump forward in time to me running over a series of rickety wooden bridges supported by sandstone pillars. It was at this point that I woke up, though it took far more goading than usual.
In my opinion, it seems like it would represent me dealing with temptation and/or peer pressure, but I've no memory of anything like that and I have always made it my policy to not care what others think (within reason of course). The main thing I've always known about this dream is that I could never discern any connection it had to my life.
