end of the world

Well, before i went to bed the other night i was watching "The Twilight Show" and the episode was about a man who had bad luck and his life was really just kind of shitty...anyway (this does relate to my dream i promise ) He gets this DVD from these 2 people (a boy and a girl) dressed in Black leather trench coats and on the DVD is a video for him saying that he has been chosen and they are coming for him soon. He freaks out thinking that these people in black are aliens and they're going to abduct him, meanwhile all these people in his neighborhood are dissappearing (because of these "aliens") so they end up coming back for him, along with all of these people that went missing, and he gets so scared that he shoots one of the guys in black. And the women the man in black was with says "that was a bad idea, i'm sorry but you were not meant to come with us" and all his "missing" neighbors are saying goodbye to him and with a huge flash of light they all dissapear, then he's left there and the world starts to blow up. It turns out these people he thought were aliens were really there to save him from the end of the world and he fucked it up. Well after watching that i had a dream that the end of the world was coming only it was being destructing by these huge black clouds, like a huge storm and there was red lightening. Do you think the only reason i had this dream was because of the twilight show i watched. I remember it was just me and my dad and we were trying to survive this "storm" i don't remember how it ended, i think i woke up before it did.

That's pretty interesting. You were there with your dad, and it was the world that was ending the world right (the clouds). You were trying to survive, so that's pretty interesting. Another possibility is that the episode triggered something inside of you, like a feeling or something that needed to be woken up. It's all on you though man

maybe your "episode" was even better than the tv one^^ it's nice to re-elaborate movies in dreams. there's a little director in all of us^^

I think it is about something in you and your mind bounced around the images from the "Twilght Zone" embellished; altered; made it personal and it's about you. How many other people saw the same episode and didn't come up with this dream or didn't dream about it at all? Think of it as an inspiration for your own ideas/issues. Red lightening: anger--maybe? Clouds: depression--maybe? Good luck--Hell, "Good nite (sweet dreams) and good luck."

An end of the world tends to mean the end of one's own world, the way you see it all. The clouds are depression or a tempest, lightning a sudden realization and red being anger. It's as if you and your dad are just starting to accept the theory of evolution.

Now, OBVIOUSLY, the TV show you watched had a heavy influence on your dream. Certainly the setting, at the least. But, this dream might have some additional meaning... but, I don't think I've got enough information to go on... What are your general family circumstances, etc? Relationship with your dad? Any disruptive or worrisome events in your life that involve either or both of you? The reason I ask, is because the only thing that I can think of, is that maybe the dream is about some sort of crisis that your dad is giving you support in, or perhaps your giving him support, or perhaps it's a crisis between the two of you, or affecting both of you...? Sorry if that's vague, but, it's the only thing I can think of...
