Thread: fishing a dolphin

need some help. want to know what others think about this one. my first real vivid "not influenced by tv" dream in quite a while.

i was out fishing on a dock with some friends (unidentified).
i said, "i love fishing with automatic poles, the kind where you push the button and it lets the line go".
(i'm wondering if my grandpa was there. he likes to fish. i haven't seen him in a long time, he's the only person who ever had fishing poles for me to use aside from an uncle. i haven't fished for real in many many years and in reality i find it fun but also hate that it harms fish).
anyway, a few moments later i get a bite.
i reel it in easily but i'm shocked to see what was on the hook.
it was a DOLPHIN. everyone else was surprised too.
effortlessly i take it up to the dock.
i'm horrified that i hooked a dolphin.
the hook went through his left eye
i slowly take the hook out, and he is fine.
it's a baby dolphin, which is emphasised by him making "hold meeee" motions with his flippers.
he really really wanted to be coddled.
i felt motherly toward him.
we are all wondering how to get him back into the water.
the dock was too high up to just drop him.
i was truly concerned about keeping him wet so in the mean time i wet him with water til we devised a plan.
eventually we figure out i was able to carry him down around the dock and into the water.
i was relieved in the end that he was ok.
