      Sasquatch in my dreams

This is a reoccurring theme in my dreams since I was about 9 years old.

There are always sasquatch in my dreams... Not as inter-actors...just as watchers.
      Sometimes interaction or violence.
Friggin weird, but maybe its like someone else having a poodle in their dreams.

      Any ideas?

Whoa...that is odd. No clue, maybe a supernatural force is watching you. Try to become lucid and reach out to him, perhaps he's a type of spirit guide.

If it's a recurring theme, you could probably be a little more specific.

The personalities of the sasquatch are not static. They depend on the particular one.
For example I am walking down a hallway at a club. There is a sasquatch standing in the hallway. Everyone else ignores it.

Im in the woods hiking, there is a sasquatch standing on a cliff overlooking the river I am hiking up.

When I made a conscious decision to ignore them for the most part they stopped interacting and then became observers. But did not go away.

The dreams dont have any commonality, they show up in all sorts of dreams in all sorts of situations.

not sure what more detail you want.

I was just looking for a little story time. What does a Sasquatch mean to you? The Sasquatch might symbolize something or, more likely, someone very personal to you. He might actually be you yourself. IIRC, Carl Jung believed that all the characters in your dream were actually you assuming different roles. Literally, this should be true, because their personalities don't come from a place outside your mind, but friends and relatives of mine appear in dreams all the time so I don't know how far you should go with that interpretation. That being said, you don't know any real Sasquatches, so it is likely the Sasquatch is a representation of some archetype or personality within you.

But it's kind of lame that they just stand there watching you.

      Hmm

I don't know... I personally believe that while dreaming other forces can reach you. I mean, it's been proven, they have been shared dreams done by several LDer's on this forum. Their documentary is quite fascinating actually.

But I personally don't believe another force is occupying the image of a Sasquatch and observing you in your dreams for no apparent reason.

Who says I dont know any real sasquatches...lol
      Know one personally no...seen one...yes.

Im not certain I would call them a part of me. I am very well aware of different existences that my "self" participates in. How else could I wake up knowing things I have no way of knowing?

They only started watching when I decided to stop interacting with them.

I am pondering the archetype thing. Gestalts are there I know that, although I tend not to have the standard normal ones most people have.

      interesting

Well you shouldnt try to talk to it. Pray to Jesus and ask him what He wants you to do. He will probably give you all the answers. And if these dreams scare you, then they are not of God and you should pray for him to stop them.

I've had several dreams with Sasquatch in them...Most of which when I was much younger.

Every time I saw him though, I would feel frightened and usually hide...Needless to say he did not pursue me.

      Dreams, eh? Lol.

After doing some searches on Sasquatch in dreams I found this thread this evening and figured this was a good enough spot to post my tale and start looking for answers.

From the time I was about 8-9 I used to have very vivid and horrifying dreams of Sasquatch. There was a field behind out apartment building and farther up into it an apple orchard.

In my dreams I would see a sasquatch out my bedroom window out in the field and it would scare me considerably. I would close the blinds in my dreams hoping they would not see me. I would then (still dreaming) get in bed and keep the covers pulled over my head and occasionally peak out from under them only to discover the blinds open. Sometimes I would see it at different distances, it always seeming to be looking right at me. The scariest would be when it was right at the window. I could see it plain as day and it always had like an old WW1 style gas mask on. I lived on the second story so in the dream it would have been 14'-17' tall.

Many times in my dreams it would reach in the window and try to grab me and pull me out and I would kick and fight trying to pull away and was always too terrified to even scream.

Needless to saw when I was awake I kept the blinds and window closed, even in the dead of summer and this was before AC was a standard fixture. (1978 -1979 ish)

The dreams were so frequent that I eventually started sleeping on the hard linoleum floor so I could get away if they grabbed me again. Eventually by the time I was 11 I was sleeping in the hallway floor outside my mothers room. She would get so mad, but I never told her why, even to this day.

Just as a point of reference I do not have any abuse in my history nor did I even know about Bigfoot or Sasquatch until I was 13 or 14 years old.

The dreams eventually changed a bit and the Sasquatch would walk by the front window looking in and trying to see me and the gas mask went away, but it was no less disturbing.

It wasn't until we moved that the dreams became less frequent and I was able to sleep in my bed around the age of 12 or 13 and in my 7th grade year I found a book in the library about cryptozoology and saw sketches of the creature that had been haunting my dreams and read about them.

The dreams continue to this day and I am a 38yr old man. No longer is it looking in the window or trying to drag me off. The dreams now are generally of just knowing it is near and feeling its presence. Sometimes it will be visible and move or act aggressively toward me at which point I will wake. There were even a few where I helped it when it was injured and had a good rapport with it and was at ease with its presence. Still others where it drug me off to a cave where I live with its family under guard until I was able to sneak off.

So to the point of my writing / telling someone about this for the first time. My 3 year old daughter has recently begun having bad dreams. Its obvious she is shaken but doesn't really know what is happening at that age. She has occasionally made comments about "are they going to take me" usually when the lawn is being mowed or something similar and I have never drawn any parallels. We just explain they are mowing the grass etc...

Tonight after her bath she mentions something about a bear in her dream like Daddy has. Again, I have NEVER mentioned these dreams to anyone.. ever.. its just too far out in left field and coincidentally I had a very scary dream about Sasquatches the night before for the first time in a year or so (last night). So the thought of the dream came to me and I asked her if the bear walked around on four legs or two, she replied "two" I then asked what color it was and she stated "it was brown". I continued with another question and asked if it had short hair or long hair, she said "Long hair", was it a little bear and she said "no daddy it was a big one, bigger than you."
Now I am a bigger size man at 290 and about 6' so to my little munchkins I am a pretty intimidating fellow.

The conversation went on for a couple more questions and she mentioned it didn't have a hairy face at this point I was seriously shaken, kissed her goodnight and had to come downstairs while mommy ready her a bedtime story. Which is when I did the search and found this thread.

Last night I had, as I mentioned, another sasquatch dream that shook me up a fair bit and took me awhile to calm myself and get back to sleep; I was on a weekend trip with some other guys (unknown to me in the dream) and we were target shooting and later enjoying a few beers when angry Sasquatches (yes plural. Outside of the in a cave w. the family it has always been just one) they came at us sporadically from different directions a total of somewhere around 7-10. They were angry and ultra aggressive, teeth bared, and obviously out to do harm.

We were running around the grounds, shooting at them and then 1-2 would come from different directions. The impression in the dream was that maybe one or two were killed as were a few of the other men, but I don't recall seeing any bodies of either in the dream. Mornin did finally come and things calmed a bit and we packed what we could easily get to and left.

The ending was part 2 after I was able to get back to sleep after waking up.

Late in the dream just before waking or very shortly after I had a weird "notion" if you will, that something had happened with a person or people near their territory and they did not want anyone drawing attention to their location so we had to go, one way or another. I do remember an older small car, light blue (yes I do occasionally see color in dreams) pretty much destroyed in the vicinity of the camp and the general direction they were coming at us from.

I tried to be as detailed as possible so if any of you have some feedback, suggestions or places I might be able to find answers, I'm all ears/eyes.

Maybe you saw a WWI documentery when you were a bady, and you still rember it in dreams. It is also possilbe that you also saw a scary movie involving Bigfoot when you were younger, too.

Well, since you live close to her, sleep close to her, and you have similar genetic material, She could've just shared the dream with you. I've had a few shared dreams, and they are allways with random people. I imagine your brains just link up easyer or something, and create a shared dream. It may go away as she gets older, and she has more material to form her own dreams.

My advice is in red. You can use this Sasquatch as a dream sign, To become lucid. then, Just summon something to kill said Sasquatch- or talk to the thing.
(To kill it, by the way, I would use a tank, a friendly yetti, Mr. T or Chuck Norris, and so on...)
      I'm back!

OK, I just read your post and after the first paragraph I had to look at your user name to see if I wrote it. I don't know how old you are or where you are from but you must be a middle aged dude. So, I'm 44 and I live in Georgia and am from Massachusetts. I have had bigfoot dreams since I was about the same age, we actually had an apple orchard in my back yard and the bigffot would be in the woods behind the orchard. I would be looking out my bedroom window watching him, when he would notice me he would more or less come down to the house try reaching in the window to grab me and pull me out. I would usually try to get out the door into the hall, even if he didn't grab me there would be a sensation of being sucked out the window to him. When I was in my early 20's I stated to fight him, it was scary but relieving. Finally maybe around 25 I saw him in the orchard, jumped out the window ran into the woods and beat his ass, that was that and they stopped happening. I figured it was some coming of age crap and forgot about them. BTW I have also had tone of jacked up dreams about aliens and other things, I am a very lucid dreamer and used to take control of dreams at that time. I also have Narcolepsy but very mildly and am familiar with old hag syndrome.
Skip like 10 years, mid 30's, they're back. Interestingly enough, I actually became a Christian around the same time. They were few and far between but have been several times a year and still are. I actually just had one which continued about 4 times in a row until the last one where I woke up(actually still in the dream) and it was in the house (my childhood house) I called on Jesus (which usually works) and it got really pissed, mad enough to scare me to awakeness. I was like "ugh, I need to have a drink." Here I am having a bourbon and coke reading your post.
My daughter is 15 and sleeps with the light on (I am not sure what that is about). I never asked, I just thought she was dumb. My son is 3 and doesn't seem to have anything weird going on.
I've had many repeating dreams throughout my life, one about alien abduction, one about flying, and several about friends - best friends, best best friends who happened to be people I have never met before.
