I keep dreaming about my childhood sweetheart? :/

Hey there. I have 3 dream dictionaries but non can explain what my dreams mean lately, so I thought i'd turn to the knowledge of the the DreamViews community Well anyway, i'm sure everyone has had someone who was their 'childhood sweetheart'. Me and mine were together for like.... years - and we were really young! Well anyway, as we grew up, we drifted apart and ended up not speaking to each each other. Then we left school, he joined the army and I just really wanted to talk to him again - but he's deleted him facebook because he hasn't got the time and I don't have his number. Anyway, to the actual dream. In the past few weeks, most of my dreams have involved him. About 2 weeks ago, I had a dream that we were together and we were really happy and smiley. And last night, I had a dream that I saw him in the distance, and he was in his soldiers uniform, and I was overwhelmed with happiness. Well anyway, we hugged and it lasted for absolutely ages. It wasn't just a normal one, it was actually like a "I've missed you so much!" hug. And I could feel the love I felt for him in that dream. I've had quite a few dreams involving him. In fact, most of them lately! When I woke up today though, I just felt so sad. In fact I still do. It sound's really silly, I know, but I just want to know what my dreams mean. It's a bit confusing because before we left school, we got to the point where we just argued all the time. And plus, of course when we were together as children, it was only puppy love. Well should it not be somewhat obvious what it can mean if you look at the feelings and such that you describe you felt? Well I would say your parting wasn't up to par whit how you wanted it to end. Lingering feelings and whatnot will keep itself around to remind itself.
