      Being chased

I have a LOT of dreams where I am being chased. A lot of the time the person who is chasing me actually catches me and kills me with a gun or a knife, and sometimes I actually know the person who is chasing me. Sometimes I'm running away with one or two people I know. I've also had a few where there are other people running away from something. I'm not normally into dream interpretation because I think there are too many people who try to tie dreams with supernatural stuff which I don't buy at all. Maybe I'm wrong...That's why I kind of shied away from this sub-forum. I've had these dreams for years and I would find it very hard to believe that there isn't something going on in this little head of mine. [EDIT]: I'm a male, senior in high school about to go to college. I've had these dreams before I had even thought about college though.

I used to have dreams all the time of someone chasing me. It was the same black cloaked figure. The fear would make me lucid and I would always just fly off and start my lucid dream.

Someone on here told me to turn around and face the figure. Which I had never done. One time I did it. I had been chased by the figure since I was little. It stopped chasing me!

I have been chased by it just once in over a year. It used to be every other night. All I did was turn around and look at the figure.. it was really strange. My fear vanished instantly and the figure just froze. I just backed off and that was that!

Maybe you could try facing up to them? You could face them and kill them, though maybe killing isn't necessary.
In very many cases, the visionary quality, the quality of the vision so to say, spills over, into the external world, so that the experiencer, when he opens his eyes, sees the outer world transfigured...

Well, I remember one time in particular. I was on an island and there were two snipers chasing me. I spotted them and actually caught them. To make a long story short I ended up torturing them pretty grossly and woke up with a morose feeling rather than a satisfied one.

Well, I agree with Lunica. The best way would be to confront or talk to whoever is chasing you, there is a good chance you will get rid of it for sure. I had reoccurring nightmares where I was chase around by a little possessed girl, but I talked to her and got rid of her for good. Remember, how scary they seem, they are just DCs and they can harm you, YOU are the master of your dream world. Turn them into a couple of toads, if you like.
'The petals dance through the wind,
The crimson blood shimmers on the snow,
The shattered heart weeps of hidden sorrow.
And over a pure white sky,
      rises a black moon.'

Being chased in a dream can sometimes mean that we feel we are overwhelmed with work and things to get done. We'd like to outrun all the work and people that seems to be always right behind us asking us to do more. Perhaps you've got a heavy course load or don't feel that you'll ever be free of some responsibilities. Having people stabbing you or killing ...could be an exaggerated way (dreams exaggerate) of telling some...."hey, you killing me!.....meaning that are giving you more than you can bear..gving you more tasks etc.)
.....It may be you should consider simplifying your life, and /or organizing it better so you don't like you are being chased by others or too many people need things from you.
      ....just my thoughts..
