1-Leap of Faith (( 2.2 + ))
Recall being chased but don't know by what. Felt certain that whatever was chasing me was going to kill me. Ran through what looked like a jungle. Burst out from the trees and ended up teetering on the very edge of a cliff. Looked down, seemed as if I was on top of the world. Could see earth's curvature I was so high up. Didn't know what to do.
Suddenly, like a backhand to the face, I realized I was dreaming. It was a very low level lucidity and felt that I also had very limited control.
My mind raced with possible ways to escape when I remembered I needed to jump off a cliff. I moved back a few steps and then ran and leapt. My arms were spread wide out as I plummeted toward the ground far below. The wind rushing past me was like a lion constantly roaring in my ear. The cliff face was nothing but a rusty blur as I surged toward the jagged rocks that seemed eager to meet me.
As I fell closer to earth I began to feel panic. "Come on.. come on.. come on..." I kept muttering as I tried to will my body into flight, the entire time my eyes were locked on the fanglike rocks rushing up to meet me. I started to scream out in frustration when I realized that I couldn't fly. One last time I yelled, COME ON...FLY YOU STUPID BITCH!"
Right after that my body began to soar horizontally. I swooped down and skimmed dangerously close to the waiting jagged rocks. I began to laugh a relieved high pitched laugh upon the realization that I would be safe. I soared, totally savoring the feeling of freedom and the cool breeze rippling at my clothing, all the way back up the cliff opposite the one I'd leapt from. Gently I landed atop it. Across the way several lumbering and unidentifiable shapes paced along the cliff I'd escaped from. I simply turned and continued on my way.
Eventually lost my lucidity as I wandered down an overgrown path that lead into another plant choked jungle.
2- Trapped
'Woke up' in bed, my entire body felt numb and I instantly knew I was dreaming. Took some time to shake off the cloying numbness but I eventually did and sat up. Looked about my room. It was dark. My eyes were barely able to make out shapes in the room. I stood atop my bed and wondered what I should do. I remembered that I have trouble Lucid flying so I decided that I would fly.
I jumped up and expected to 'ghost' through the ceiling and end up floating outside but I fell back to the bed. I became severely irritated and tried a few more times to jump and fly. Nothing happened.
'Okay. Let's try something else." I said aloud as I stared up at the ceiling. Instead of jumping up I would simply stand still and reach upward until my fingers came into contact with the ceiling. It took a while but somehow, without even moving, my hand pressed against the ceiling.
I lifted my other hand to touch too but it wouldn't reach. I sort of snorted in disbelief and muttered..."That's just fucked up." I had to take another small eternity waiting for my other hand to finally reach the ceiling.
When it did I thrust my hands up through stucco and grabbed hold of the rafters behind. I pulled myself up and through the stucco until I was in the attic. Crouched down in the dark constrictive place, I suddenly felt claustrophobic. Had to get out. Outside.
Thrust my hands up through the roof and pulled myself out onto it. I laid on my stomach atop the gritty shingles for a bit, relieved that I'd made it outside. I rolled onto my back and to my horror another network of roof trusses where hanging above me. I stood and tried to ghost through those but couldn't. I began to feel claustrophobic again and simply slipped through the roof and ceiling to plop back onto my bed.
"Great. I'm trapped." I said as I laid there staring off into the dark. I sat up suddenly and forced the powerless feeling away. "I'll just conjour up something to amuse me." I said aloud.
A friend of mine always askes me to Lucid Dream him, so I decided to do just that. I simply whispered his name and a ghostly visage of him appeared before me. He was on his knees looking up at me with expectant eyes. As hard as I tried I couldn't make him solidify. I grabbed hold of his hair hoping that the contact would either help him to become solid or at the very least keep him in the dream. It didn't work. He faded after about 5 seconds.
I was so startled by his sudden disappearance that I stumbled backward and fell through the wall. My feet were still in my room while the upper part of my body was in the next bedroom. I was both frustrated and elated. Frustrated that I couldnt hold my friend in the dream and elated that I'd actually ghosted through a wall and ceiling.. things I'd been having problems with in previous lucid dreams.
Not sure but I think it was the odd mingling of emotions that caused me to loose lucidity. I soon after woke instantly up.
